Diaz doesn't have the best relationship with sl*ty. It's very likely that they sell him and for 35m, he's way better than Martineli and Trosard. I don't want him as the main winger, but he'll be great as the back-up option if we manage to sell both Trosard and Martineli. The season is very long and we need players like him.

In theory I agree but realistically we aren’t bringing in 2 LWs. It’s too wishlisty to expect us to sell both Marti and Trossard while signing Williams and Diaz as well as a CF, CM(s) and whatever else we do.

Agreed. I'd keep Martinelli as he's younger and offers a counter threat against tired legs even if he doesn't improve at all from here on out. It's time to move on from Trossard, he's been crap all season and is on the wrong side of 30. Been a good servant and was a good signing, but it has run out its course.

The Luiz Diaz thing is weird. If he's an upgrade on Martinelli or Trossard it's marginal.

He'd probably expect a decent wage as well.

He wouldn't raise the floor or the ceiling in any meaningful way.

He does work extremely hard tbh. If you rate Martinelli, then of course you gonna rate Luiz

He’s really not though. Diaz single handedly destroyed Martinellis country on his own. Diaz is not good enough. But he would have a lot less scrutiny at arsenal than Liverpool

How so, he's on a goal or assist every 138 minutes this season. Better than anyone on our left wing.

I don't watch Liverpool though so I could be missing something. But getting Diaz in and Tross out for say 20m net might make allot of sense. He can cover for Saka too
