What CF people really think we're getting? I see a new link everyday and the ltks seem to knw fck all.

Sesko and Ekitike are projects, while we have a team that needs a to deliver now. Those two are strikers you sign behind your main man. Sign Isak or Gyokeres, then start thinking about an u-21 space allows.

Nobody knows anything outside of the fact that we have put in a lot of groundwork on Sesko. We have no clue how those plans may change with Berta in the job. Nothing should be taken particularly seriously in terms of whom we're targeting until Berta has been in the job for a bit and it's reasonable to assume that he has laid some of his own groundwork for his targets. We aren't at that point yet.

Isak definitely. Gyokeres has never done it in great league. Championship and Portuguese league. Last PL club he played for deemed him not worth keeping. He’s also a risk

I don’t see many articles linking us to Isak. I’m seeing more of Liverpool and Barcelona. I have a feeling we should go hard on whatever target we’ve identified before we get caught in a bidding war. Quite a few teams are on the hunt for quality strikers.

I think Sesko is a better goal scorer. At least in terms of chance conversion anyway. 3 years straight of xG over performance doesn’t lie, just like how 3 years straight of xG underperformance for our strikers doesn’t lie.

His total xG being low is what the issue is - how much of that is due to him being played largely behind Openda vs him not being able to create any chances for himself? (This is a rhetorical question btw, I don’t expect / want you to answer but if you do, rest assured I’ll ignore what you say anyway).
Many people on this forum like N. Williams and assume that he will explode in Arsenal because he will have better players around him.
I guess they should apply same logic with Šeško.

What you say about Šeško is true, he has overperformed his xg since he arrived to Leipzig.

I think that Arsenal needs this type of player, who will score more than his xg, Šeško or someone else.
We already have G. Jesus and Havertz who are poor finishers with zero composure in front of the goal.

And we need another creative player, midfielder or winger, we can't put all burden of creativity on Saka and Ødegaard.
Therefore I'm against Zubimendi, he is not creative midfielder.
We need someone like Reijnders, he can shoot, he can assist, he can make through-pass, he can do many things we don't have in our squad.

So true.
We need CF who will deliver immediately.
No more projects, I don't want to hear excuses next season, "he needs time to adapt", etc.

Do you have a source or nowhere near is just your feeling.

23/24 we were already at 327m in wages.
It would have only gone higher with Raya(full time) and Merino Cala deals
+ new deals for Arteta/coaching staff

I said player wage bill, wouldn't be talking about the staff included.

Capology is the source and our current wage bill is £169M.

What does deliver immediately mean?
A good question in itself. My first thought was a player who immediately raises our level to a new tier. On the other hand, simply having enough quality rotation players could also have an immediate impact on us.

I think Reijnders completes our midfield. It’s so perfect you just know it will never happen. City will get him I reckon.

Arsenal Quotes

My first ever football memory was Charlie George's double winning goal in 71. After that game; I just became an Arsenal fan.
