All garbage options to be fair. The answer lies within somewhere. Maybe we can get one of our defenders to have a Paul Warhurst transformation into a striker.

We are short upfront yes, but I think the real key to our fortunes is being able to get the ball through the middle of teams more often.

I am hoping this was one of our focus areas during this recent Dubai break.

Being able to also get through and in behind teams more, will give our forwards an easier job to do in front of goal. This is why we need a #10 in the summer, to help us do this more.

When they say unprecedented they mean spend.

Sesko - £60M
Nico - £50M
Zubi - £50M
Joan Garcia - £18M
Nypan - £12M

And maybe a defender bring the spend to over £200M. I agree though id prefer a real difference maker.
We couldn’t sign anyone last month so we could save the money for that average window? None of them move the needle enough.

I see what he’s saying though, he feels the they done all they could. Can’t have regrets on that situation.

They didn't do all they could though. The idea that there was no semi-decent striker anywhere on this planet that could help us in the short term is just nonsense. But Teta's reluctance to bring in "just another body" made it very difficult for the club to sign someone. This is what he said recently:

(W)e are very aware that we only want to bring certain kind of players - and we have to be very disciplined with that as well.

It is not about moving the needle.

We are second in the league to a Liverpool team that have been playing at a high level. They have the best player in the league. We are second despite the red cards, injuries and players like Ødegaard being completely out of form.

The problem we have is squad depth. The system we have clearly seems to work. Spending 150 million on Isak to move the needle, then for him to get injured for a month and for us to be back where we were, picking up cluster injuries in other positions.

It makes far more sense to make sure we can rotate players in and out without a drop in quality.

Cf: Sesko, Havertz
Lw: Williams, Martinelli (Trossard)
Rw: Saka, Nwaneri (Williams)
10: Ødegaard, Trossard
8: Rice, Merino, Nypan
6: Zubimendi, (Rice), MLS
Lb: Calafiori, Hato, MLS
Cb: Gabriel, Hato
Cb: Saliba, new rcb if Tomi cant get fit (White/Timber)
Rb: Timber, White
Gk: Raya, Garcia, Youth gk

Jesus - Injured
Sell - Kiwior, Vieira, Tierney, Tomi if he cant get fit, Partey release, Jorginho release.

In: Garcia, Sesko, Hato, new rcb, Williams, Nypan. I'd be looking for something like that. Players come in and out of the team without a massive drop in quality.

Should have brought Nketiah back.

Need to hit the free agency because watching sterling again today make me sure we only got tow attacking guys you depend on. The guy beyond useless and he really so much out of confidence

A free agent will likely be worse than Sterling. Sterling is not the worst professional footballer in the world. There are worse.

If Chelsea don’t make CL, surely we should be making a bid to take Palmer off them. Can’t see him wanting to waste his career there doing **** all

Religiously, it is said that God created man. I am only a guide. I allow others to express what they have in them. I have not created anything. I am a facilitator of what is beautiful in man.
