Could be wrong but pretty sure there’s an underlying injury issue there and he’s saving himself for the World Cup before he actually resolves it.
Saving for what exactly?

He's nowhere near the starting lineup. He's currently behind Neto, Bernardo and Conceicao out wide...

If he flops we can blame @Trilly even though the bar is so low after Martinelli and Nono it’s hard to see him flop
That's kind of why I don't want him here. They'll act like me, @2Smokeyy and @A_G kidnapped Arteta and held him at gunpoint to sign Leao.

Literally every single thing that goes wrong will be blamed on us. Same with Rashford too. I've distanced myself from both signings

Unless he decides to link up with roadmen in London and become full time rapper you won’t get grief. We praise Gyokerrs for wrestling defenders and running about. We are not hard to satisfy. He be fine

I can bet you he'll be at least second choice LW for Portugal. He's not in competition with Bernado Silva fgs
Martinez loves Bernardo and has even used him out wide recently.

He was an unused sub in the semi final of the Nations League last year. Neto and Trincao started, Conceicao and the late Jota came on as subs.
He came on as a sub in the final, Neto and Conceicao started.

Neto is almost a certainty as one of the wingers. Leao has fallen down the pecking order and I doubt his club form has helped his cause.

Unless there's multiple absentees, really doubt he'll be a starter in the first group game.

His best chance is impressing off the bench early on and earning his way back into the starting XI during the tournament.

I guess I could see him being eager to use the World Cup as a platform to impress and earn a move.
His dream move has long been rumoured to be Barca and it's likely Barca will be in the market for a left winger this summer if Rashford doesn't move there permanently.

Yeah but I don’t think Bernado is ahead of him for the Lw is what I’m saying.

I’m aware that Martinez doesn’t really rate him ahead of other options which is fair enough.

From what I’ve seen of Kenan, Diomande and Barcola I’d be over the moon with any of the three.

Less sure on Leao but think he’s a good player. I honestly love Rashford’s game but the age is a giant red flag alas.
My pick would be Kenan. Most upside for being the main man.

Winning the CL is the 'final boss' in terms of attractiveness to the best players. If we win the CL, all bets are off and any player is attainable imo.
Wesley Snijeder said yesterday that Arsenal should make a statue for Arteta for what he have achieved with the current mediocre squad.

People think time stops for these players. Something people were interested in a year or two back doesn’t necessarily mean it’s what will work now 😂 from a squad analysis POV then I’d much rather a long term solution to our LW issues than a patch up.

The whole he was an unused sub vs Germany in the SF was cherry picked too. Roberto Martinez brought him on in the final then praised his impact lol it’s funny though, people act like only starters will save themselves for the World Cup. If someone gets injured then obviously it’ll open a door for them to impress.

Arsenal Quotes

The club changed so much, I changed with it and football has changed with us... But one thing never changes: the 90 minutes still belong to the player, 90 minutes during which he is king.
