MLS is the glue for our midfield. We don’t really need a marquee CM unless we have an outgoing (I’m not counting Nørgaard here).

If Merino or Zubi leave then yes we need a signing. Otherwise MLS is eating up all those minutes we were concerned about by just playing Rice x Zubi.

Rice Zubi MLS Merino is enough for 2 positions surely?

IMO our midfield should be on a 1 in 1 out basis, while we should be very aggressive with the attack outgoings and incomings wise. We have so much deadwood there and room to improve.

The number 1 focus this summer should be offloading the likes of Jesus, Trossard/Martinelli, Havertz and replacing them with 2 or 3 attackers.

On top of a backup RB that should be the main focus.

This CM scenario can be improved on marginally potentially by cashing in on Zubi/Merino but by no means is it a priority at all. MLS balances our midfield big time, he adds everything we were missing; forward thrusting football, vertical runs, positive passing, good engine and speed. Great balance there now.

We are desperate for another top midfielder. Our midfield without Rice is average as hell

Can see Arteta use MLS alot next season but we need a midfielder to increase the competition and someone that Arteta will trust because Nørgaard is basically a fan not a player nowdays lol
But that’s the thing MLS will replace Nørgaard and actually play. I don’t think our problem was numbers in the midfield this season, it was how many minutes they were playing. Nørgaard didn’t take any minutes off Zubi/Rice.

If you replaced Nørgaard with MLS at the start of this season and played him for how many minutes he deserves, Zubimendi and Rice would have played considerably less minutes this season than they did, especially Zubi.

Only argument you can make is we don’t have an immediate Rice backup in the side.

imo we'll buy midfielder there alot of talk about it Merino MLS Zubi and Rice is good but also it's short for 4 competitions. we'll see what will happen but like you said earlier we have to get LW and sell few players this summer won't be like last i'm expecting like 3 incomings and rest of window we'll sell players.

We need 2-3 attackers alone.

I’d be happy with 2 senior attackers (and Monga), 1 CM and 1 backup RB. Shouldn’t cost more than £220m depending on who we sign. With good selling we could net only like £100m.

If we were to sign a CM I would like Fernandes or Wharton (21 and 22) who still have age on their side rather than Tonali (26) who is approaching his prime and will want more minutes.

after buying Gyo and Noni also you consider Eze is attacking signing i can't see us go again and sign 3 attackers maybe two max and i hope these two are LW but i don't think Selling Martinelli is easy the guy is happy here and would want a perfect club for him to move on Trossard is more easier. even if we sell

also i believe Dowman will have lot of play time next season we really can't block his path too.

Need a marquee LW and also a CF option. Won’t affect the right side. Eg Barcola and Kroupi.

The LW needs to be heavily disrupted it’s not good enough.

Josh also yesterday seem want to keep investing heavily in team i feel they'll want to bring some top quality this summer the financial ability we got is maybe the best since this club come to new Stadium and Kroenke seeing how much money on field success bringing them

We have a chance to dominate the league for years to come. A young squad and a young manager with vision... the club is set on doing things the sustainable/'right' way and that is what the world craves right now. It's worth the investment as a business.

Having said that, we haven't won anything yet to give us that real momentum.

A big part of our resurgence that isn't mentioned often is Josh becoming more hands on, imo. He seems to give more of a **** about football.

Why would you consider cashing in on half of Spain's first choice midfield? 🤨
