really surprised he gonna cost north 10M. i thought we'll get him around 5M. big investment for 16 years old.

"Could cost the ENGLISH CHAMPIONS."

Look at the direction that the team is heading in. We’re a 442 team with second strikers and wide playmakers. Think about the 07/08 Wengerball team for reference. Think about the transfers we’ve made recently in attacking midfield : Merino, Kai, the emergence of Nwaneri, Eze. The team is moving away from some profiles.

First XI:
Rogers-Kroupi
Eze-MLS-Rice-Saka
Calafiori-Gabriel-Saliba-Timber
Raya

Bench XI:
Gyök-Kai
Trossard-New CM-Zubi-Madueke

That left side… did we change manager?

If Alvarez and Kroupi chose to go elsewhere and we end up with Rogers, Barcola and Monga as attacking reinforcements, assuming Ethan and Martinelli get sold -are people happy with that?

I think, on the whole, I would be.

Absolutely no. This summer should be all about rasing the level of the squad with elite technical talent. None of those players fit the profile imo.

The only way we improve next season is by adding elite attacking talent. Rogers is way to similar to what we have imo, and Barcola is a bit of a Gervinho/a bit of a Madueke. We need real difference makers up front

There's no scenario short of Mbappe showing up where I accept Nwaneri leaving because he can and should have a role here going forward but other than that, those 3 would be quite a good set of reinforcements along with maybe a young, rapid developmental 9.

Some people are getting paid millions to figure it out. But ok I’d much rather we try find the next big attacking wizard than the likes of Rogers and Barcola. This squad needs new skillsets and qualities that we lack.

I’d go for the Salzburg kid and Mateus Fernandez if Alvarez and Kroupi Jr are unattainable.
If we signed just those players as our main signings the fanbase would rightly be infuriated.

I dont mind the Bosnian kid (although looks like we are signing Monga) and have said I like M Fernandes but those would be secondary signings to the likes of Barcola/Rogers etc.

Not very surprising to me tbh. He's a big name for his age group and incredibly highly sought after. If we want to compete for these levels of talent this early on, this is what we're gonna have to do.

His ball control and intelligence look great from what I've seen. I'm particularly impressed with how he uses his frame to feint, win fouls, and brush players off the ball. That's very similar to a lot of our Hale End graduates.

That said, I have seen a few Leicester fans comment on his pace, or lack of.

What do you reckon? It looks fine to me, and I'd even say it's similar to Saka's before the injuries.

Arsenal Quotes

It’s not impossible to go through a season unbeaten and I can’t see why it’s shocking to say that.
