Dream for me would be Rogers, kroupi, Nico Paz in attack I think. Could have barcola on top of that.

Been saying I fancy Rogers on the left for a while and getting ridiculed for it and think we can sort a solution regardless. Everything about the physical mechanics of the way Rogers interacts with the ball screams Arteta to me. People saying he’s a turn over machine but I don’t think he’d be that at Arsenal. Players that best suit Arteta ball in build up are players who can protect and wait with the ball forming an attacking outpost for us to get forward. This is a big part of why saka has been so effective for us and Trossards limited ability to hold the ball longer in similar situations has suited us on the left hand side too. Way he likes to touch the ball and physicality+definition of pass and final action on the ball just make me think it will work. And of course he bangs goals on top that.

Teams have mostly figured out Arteta's "protect and wait" football and the League Cup final against City was peak humiliation for Arteta. I think he knows he needs to move away from that football which is why he dropped Zubi for MLS. Signings this summer is likely to push even further towards attacking with more purpose and directness.

We don’t need 6 players. Getting 6 players would actually be a concern to me because a huge part of the reason we look so ****ing discombobulated at times this season is cause we would have 3 new attackers on the pitch at any one time and a new defender and midfielder. Get a WC starter on the left, backup for Rice, and competition for Timbers for a solid transfer window. If you wanna make it perfect you get Kroupi or Endrick as that future superstar level raiser

If we are serious about Alajbegovic then we need to move now. Bosnia will definitely be 2 or 3 in their group and advance to the knockout stages. This guy will do well at the World Cup so his price will only go one way ⏫
Surely we'll only get one of him & Monga? Buying a 17 year old and 18 year old for the same position would be highly unusual.

We want to renew the entire attack, mostly due to a misunderstanding of this system that has people searching for inexistent attackers that would elevate our attack without sacrificing our defence.

He hasn’t fundamentally changed his philosophy on build up, we still build up in this way and he still thinks this way. We don’t actually have many players who are particularly good at this in defence or attack yet in terms of getting from defence to mf we have mostly been highly effective.

MLS for zubimendi actually supports this in my view as MLS is a better proponent of this style of build up, he turns with it better, is better at safely moving the ball to the next phase, is better at protecting the ball under presssure. Xhaka was also excellent at this and ode too which is part of the reason that midfield shined imo.

This will continue to be a hallmark of Arteta’s approach I think. Methodically going from phase to phase, that’s why he needs every cog to work perfectly and we need players who can fit with that.

Doesn’t Rate Any Of Our Attackers
I think we’ve just generally forgotten what great forwards look like cos it’s been so long since we had one.

We’re characterised as a defensive team and it’s partly true, but we’re just a good team with a great defence and a mediocre attack.

I think if we played with the exact same tactics but just better quality forwards you’d see a clear difference.

It’s genuinely mind boggling we managed to win a PL with that output from our forwards. They put up numbers you expect from a midtable side.

Saka with working hamstrings is the only one we have had since Sanchez.

He's only 16 years old, people need to temper their expectations of what he can do. Monga is no Dowman and even Dowman needs time to develop into a starter. So we can sign him as someone long term who will not feature much next season.

He will be 17 when the season starts. He can have a similar impact to what Ngumoha has had for Liverpool. Obviously not starting material right now but could be an option off the bench and feature more as the season goes.

Already being discussed to be in the first team squad. Kid looks quality, we will still buy a senior lw.

I really hope we look to improve the technical level of the team this summer. So far with the rumoured moves, it doesn’t feel we’re leaning this way.

We have plenty of physicality in the team already, let’s add a sprinkle of finesse.

Think there's a few things some people need to realise.

We all want a top class left winger. The fans, the management etc. The problem is who is out there and who is attainable.

Perez has again said last night that the likes of Vini & Mbappe aren't for sale, even if we could afford them. I highly doubt Kvara is for sale. That's literally your world class wingers there. I think a lot of us like Yildiz, & he has just signed a new deal & Comolli has came out and said they might need to make a sale, but out of everyone it certainly won't be him.

Next tier down, are the likes of Leao, Barcola, Nico Williams, Gordon, Diomande, Rashford as the main names. Everyone of them has question marks. Barca have chosen Gordon, perhaps even over Rashford it seems. Liverpool & PSG are chasing Diomande, but Leipzig are trying to tie him down for a year.

Bayern after not getting Gordon, have went an interesting route. They are now going for Saibari. Not a traditional, pacey touchline winger, but more a adaptable player comfortable central & can play wide. Sounds like it could be very similar to our strategy regarding Rogers, no?

It's a very similar story as a striker. Alvarez seems to be the obvious choice (i'm still not 100% sold), but even he wants Barca and Atletico are demanding a massive fee. Then it becomes not so obvious, & this is where the likes of Kroupi start to come into view.

The other thing is the outs. As we all know to well, we can all pick who we want to sell...but a lot of the time it's the market that dictates that. It's alright saying Havertz needs to go, or Ødegaard needs to go etc, but there needs to be people that actually want to buy them, & with Premier League money and wages dwarfing all other leagues, for teams outwith PSG, Bayern, Barca & Real, a lot of the time that's hard to do. That's why it might need to be the likes of Ethan unfortunately, because we know the market is there for them.

He does have a full season of professional football under his belt at 16. He is ready to play, just not at Arsenal level. Should sign him and loan him out to a club where he can make minutes like Westham and get Summervile as backup LW.
