Dream for me would be Rogers, kroupi, Nico Paz in attack I think. Could have barcola on top of that.
Been saying I fancy Rogers on the left for a while and getting ridiculed for it and think we can sort a solution regardless. Everything about the physical mechanics of the way Rogers interacts with the ball screams Arteta to me. People saying he’s a turn over machine but I don’t think he’d be that at Arsenal. Players that best suit Arteta ball in build up are players who can protect and wait with the ball forming an attacking outpost for us to get forward. This is a big part of why saka has been so effective for us and Trossards limited ability to hold the ball longer in similar situations has suited us on the left hand side too. Way he likes to touch the ball and physicality+definition of pass and final action on the ball just make me think it will work. And of course he bangs goals on top that.
Teams have mostly figured out Arteta's "protect and wait" football and the League Cup final against City was peak humiliation for Arteta. I think he knows he needs to move away from that football which is why he dropped Zubi for MLS. Signings this summer is likely to push even further towards attacking with more purpose and directness.
