Nah you can’t be putting up the numbers he has in the league.

Semenyo wasn’t playing for the Galacticos.
I mean all you have to do is watch him.

He has two moves, fake inside and burn down the outside which Martinelli can do. The other is a pretty basic cut inside which I'm not even sure qualifies as a move. Absolutely no 2v1 or tight space dribbling game either. Worst part abou the Gordon signing is that he's yet another consistent xG underperformer.

Arteta genuinely doesn't have a clue when it comes to wide players imo, i'm tempted to extend that to attackers full stop. If you let him pick he goes for weird guys and if you force guys like Eze or Gyok on him he wastes half a season trying to get them to play in a way that anyone could have told you wouldn't work.

We should look at Mamadou Sangaré from Lens. Been revelation this season in France.

We'll probably spend 100M on Elliot Anderson instead.
Yeah I get it I think the club has accepted Arteta can’t develop young players and we will only buy ready made players. Also the most boring ready made players. It’s the reason why I couldn’t care less about winning the league. If coming years all excitement and skills are gonna be sucked out of our football.

Let the other clubs feast and we’ll pick up Chelsea’s scraps then we’ll get the “player x only had his eyes set on…” and “we can’t compete financially with that club”

We’ve all seen this already.

Probably Lavia as Chelsea is rumoured to give up on him as he can’t stay fit

He’s good at spotting a sure thing in midfield/defence I’ll give him that.

Sure thing in attack is a different ball game as by the time they’re a sure thing they’re going to be out of our price range or looking at other clubs and he seems unable to identify attackers before they become a sure thing. Case in point how he must have been aware of Isak when he was monitoring Ødegaard but but fast forward a few years later and now he’s your ‘dream’ striker.

This is one of the genuine reasons why he may be the guy who gets us here but not the one who can push us on. How does your club need a world class forward and the best you can come up with is Gordon?

Isak would never become the player he became if he left socidad for arsenal. I’m glad it never happened because we don’t produce many good players in Sweden and would hate one of the few good ones being ruined by Arteta

Same thing with Mudryk tbf. We were ready to pay a significant fee for him which seemed like Nelli would be shifted to the side as they’re similar profiles in a sense then Chelsea came in and gazumped us which forced us to pivot to Trossard.

Sure it was a massive bullet dodged but if we kept the same energy in wanting to upgrade significantly on our LW then wouldn’t Trossard be viewed as a stop gap and we’d have still pulled through with replacing Nelli? I feel like Arteta does the same things the combinations I mentioned the other day, he’ll have something in mind then a player gets injured and he completely scraps it until he’s forced into doing so.

I think a certain level of talented player can succeed in our system, maybe their numbers wouldn’t be as high but they’d still look pretty good. I think that would be Isak.

Where our system can make or break guys is the ones who have top level attributes but aren’t super well-rounded, guys like Gyokeres, Eze, Nelli, even Pepe, Auba, Laca were broken by this system because his system sucks at covering for players’ weaknesses.

I don’t mind him being a ‘if it ain’t broken don’t fix it’ type of guy, I think Kai upfront in 23/24 was a great plan B that ended up becoming plan A.

Issue imo is that he takes too long to recognise it’s broken and will almost forget that it wasn’t supposed to be plan A in the first place. You’d think that he’d be eager to return to his original plan the moment the stop-gap stops working but by the time he does the damage is usually done.

Isak has his flaws as well. He’s not great in the air nor is he in the duels. He’s also not a much of a presser. He wouldn’t do well here

Well he was Mikel’s dream target, I wonder if he would have changed the way we played or just expected him to slot into the Havertz role.

As crazy as it sounds I think he’d do the latter, we tried with Gyok who’s much less capable.

The defence and Rice won us the league.

We never pass the ball in behind either, which is where the majority of his goals come from. Maybe we'd have changed our game to accommodate him more than Gyok as he's a much better player.

yeah each game i watch i just want us sign LW the 1st day of transfer window and whoever will be just give me a new name i honestly don't know how we 1st with our LW that below average for majority of season.

also it becoming important that Arteta or Berta don't ignore the midfield Rice and Zubi running out of energy you have to get some capable backup. can't keep play them 50 games all season also these two have world cup to play and they regulars as well.

we will likely sign RB too White is injured and he not even playing lot of games. unsure about us signing CF we likely gonna go with Gyo and Kai again next season. also there nobody good is available not worth wasting money.

i'm expecting 3 incomings and we activate Hincapie option to buy clause.
