Arsenal is not run by an oil state. Kroenke's vision is to make Arsenal self sustaining. Every sensible person and every well run club has a budget and sticks to it. Rogers does not justify the 100m fee, so they pulled the plug on the deal. There are not many 100m+ money Arsenal can throw around, and Rogers is not the must have player this team needs to use that 100m+ money.

Its quite for most teams not only us Liverpool they have to rebuild thier team buy salah replacement they linked with no one. The only links we having so far are With Konsa and Bruno we need to start shop in europe there things going behind the scenes i guess the 3 signings we going to make will be late.

On that basis though, we overpay for Mudryk and pay more than Rice for Caicedo, while not getting Rice.

We underpaid for Madueke and Havertz given the structure of those deals. That's why they bought them. Havertz was 25m less Euros (including add ons) than what Chelsea paid and we got to pay it over 3 years, which let us buy more players that window. Madueke we only paid £8m for last years fee, meaning we got to sign an extra player with very little capital outlay.

Orny said Chelsea paid 117M on Rogers not based on performance but to show they paid more than Anderson. If what orny said is true Chelsea could have got rogers for like 15M less imo
