He gets goals and assists if you take his City numbers. The "striker from the wing" thing can work quite well in the right team.

Think I'd actually have more confidence with Alvarez off the left than at CF - he doesn't get enough goals for me as an out an out striker and we don't have the killers on the wings to justify a false 9
