Yup. Prem was just low scoring overall this past season. We scored 30 goals 15 CL games.

So I realized this is actually only barely better goals per game than in the league lol.

1.8 goals per game in the league vs 2.0 in the CL.

But we were second most goals in the league and only fifth most in CL. So I think that does show the Prem was pretty low scoring this past season. We could definitely do with scoring more goals though (can’t ever have too many)

Reminds me of training sessions with the first team. Nearly every time I watched it Reiss Nelson would be the stand out. Then in front of a big crowd it wouldn't quite be the same.

We should approach PSG and Barcola as he is the best on the market after Vini. Has noticed him since his Lyon days and always like his combo explosive pace with good skills, good decision making, good stats and decent versatility. Also should have at least a level to improve as he is only 24 next September.

But can understand Berteta may decide Barcola too expensive if they also want to spend on RB/CB, in this scenario imo Ndiaye is the best option as arguably best both sided winger in EPL outside Arsenal/MCity/Liverpool/MUtd/Chelsea. Yildiz is another option, potential to be elite, but will need adapting to EPL and reportedly set to stay at Juve so will also be expensive. Nico Williams is also potentially elite but more risky with his recent injury issues. Less well known near elite potential LW options imo are Ezzalzouli, El Mala, MFPardo. Whichever imo another LW will come unless somehow Tzolis convinced Arteta he is already elite for EPL/UCL.

I also read some rumors for CF, JPedro and Pio Esposito, imo this only realistic if Tzolis is rated elite by Arteta. JPedro imo current best all round CF at EPL, better then going for Alvarez. Pio is more hoping he reach his elite potential than based on what he did last season as Espi who is similar CF type did better in almost every stats for a much weaker team of each leagues.

I like him, but his price is too steep. I don't think he will be a bust, but risk reward is a bit too high.

He’s an absolutely shocking footballer technically. I’m sorry. How has he made it this far?? That shooting technique is frying me. He needs to breathe football for the next 2 years to have any hope of staying in the league for at least a couple more years.

Totally agree Trillz. In my opinion though with my old man brain I always used to plug in guys that could possibly do that job but only ever saw so many in modern era do it for arsenal. Saka can definitely put u on ur ass if you dare single team him and Alexis was the other guy coming straight at you with that dog mentality.... I'm looking at the names and I just don't have same confidence these guys can do that.. that's all

Williams has. Yildiz plays in Italy where they’ve historically been a lot more common.

I am still content him being a sub for us. Saka is the undisputed starter when fit and no better footballer than Madueke will want to join knowing they will be playing second fiddle to Saka. We just need him to be there when Saka needs a long periode, cup games and garbage minutes. He is still young (24) and was his first year under Arteta. He will improve and be an excellent back up or even rotation player for us. And him being English is a plus for me.
