I genuinely didn’t know what market opportunity means. Every signing is an opportunity.

We just pushed Newcastle for Bruno. We forced a sale from West Ham for Rice, etc. Even Gyok was a battle to get the way we did. We had him almost on strike. It’s not like we only make easy transfers. You don’t assemble the deepest squad in the Prem through “market opportunities”

When has Arteta ever showed a willingness to rotate?

He’s got three senior internationals ahead of him now.

This is what his reps will be thinking.

He could go to Chelsea, get paid more and play more.

He does rotate but it tends to be when his hands are tied. I think the addition of Bruno indicates a willingness to rotate more. Zubimendi is still a top quality player who will need game time. I don’t see how we don’t utilise all our options are we fight on all fronts.

I completely get why MLS might be thinking about playing time but a loan should suffice hopefully. In any case I hope he doesn’t go Yanited.
