Its kinda a theme with them innit? Always a disaster window after we have good window before.
Yep, and nearly all of their other franchises in other sports have similar types of issues. Kind of funny, I was just looking at their championships and the teams in major sports which have multiple titles under them have come 21 or 22 years apart.

They're somewhat ambitious but overall they're happy to make money rather than winning at any cost.

The most infuriating thing about any rumor of selling MLS beyond the fact that he'd go to be a star somewhere, is a great kid whose best years should be at Arsenal etc. is that you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the fee would be too low and just get put towards Konsa or some other dreck(probably from Chelsea) instead of an attacker who could take us up a level.

That's, like, your opinion, man.

So basically a huge outlay to get an elite forward from a small group of clubs. I agree that's probably the only way to get a player like that. It's also very easy for most of these clubs to just say no since they don't need the money and not hard for them to convince players to stay either. Juve maybe not the same as these others tbh, they would be harder pressed if we went after Yildiz imo.

I get that the situation is frustrating but I'm not sure the club can be criticised too much for not doing that sort of thing to this point, or at least trying other approaches first. It's last resort stuff and a long shot in most cases. But it might be last resort time now. If we have the money and it won't screw us long term.

We need to change our approach, for me it's crystal clear.

If we fail to get someone in this summer, it'll make it the 4th year running where we fail to upgrade on that position.

I know it's not the approach you're talking about, but the Vini stuff was unprecedented from Arsenal. We've never offered a player that sort of money. So that may signal a willingness to do something different if needed.

One of Gyok or Havertz will get renewed, 99% it's going to be Kai.

He's coming to 2 years left no?

I've been saying for a while I think neither him or Ødegaard are getting renewed

Ode is the club captain, has 2 years left and we've heard nothing at all regarding a renewal. Imagine it was Saliba, Saka or Rice. The club would be leaking stuff to reassure the fans
