Manchester United continue to keep tabs on Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia, but they face steep competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to TuttomercatoWeb, the North London clubs have joined United in pursuit of the Italian defender. The Red Devils were first on the scene, tracking the centre back for €18 million.

The 25-year-olds uncertain future with the I Nerazzurri continues to spark interest from some of England’s top clubs.

English clubs aren’t the only ones interested in Ranocchia. Both Napoli and Juventus have been linked to the Italian international for added depth to their back lines.

Inter’s president Massimo Moratti has said that Andrea Ranocchia would remain at Inter.

“The defence is where we really need to strengthen. Ranocchia is one of the best in the country in that position, and he plays for the national team,” said Moratti.

Ranocchia joined the Nerazzurri in 2011 from Genoa.
