Yep, this has been mentioned on 'arsenal talk'

He's a good keeper, no denying that but I can't see him joining us unless Wenger is looking for a shot-term replacement until he feels either Taylor or Stack is ready for the 1st team

But he is quite old isn't he..32???..so we want a quick fix...how about frey then???

He's a great keeper but we should be looking for someone younger. Unless Wenger has faith in Taylor or Stack to take over as No.1 in a few years.

Niemi is an excellent goal-keeper but I think Frey would be the better deal. He's younger and will be on top-form for longer.

Frey... was just looking at some of the comments posted on him by fans at SoccerAge. Parma fans love him! Never seen him play but I know he is much sought after.

I would love for have Niemi at highbury that guy could be better than Seaman and Schmeihel at their prime if he plays for a club like ours....cos he wouldnt have to make as many saves as he does presently for Soton...and since he already plays in England...he knows exactly what to expect..unlike frey that might be shocked at first and Niemi must be very experienced at international level as well unlike Frey...

Peter Cech is who your talking about.....
Cech is a very good goal keeper, I see him played manytimes as he's already playing for Rennes. But he's not a World Class GK. This is just my opinion
