Yeah? Burnley are well run, Brighton are well run etc etc. Being well run doesn't have to equate to league position, that's what the players on the pitch determine.
Do any of us really have any depth of knowledge about any club beyond what happens on the pitch and in the media though? I don't think we do. How can the question posed by the thread actually be answered?

In similar fashion, do we know players relationships with each other, how they feel about tactics, how managers feel about their bosses etc etc? Well, you don't. You just know what's reported and you have to determine how you interpret it.

The Carabao Cup and Europa League can still salvage this season. Even if Arsenal finish fifth again in the PL, all would be forgiven with two trophies that we have never won under Wenger and CL football next season. It worked alright for Manchester United last season/this season, so no reason why Arsenal shouldn’t try to emulate them.

Any trophy will salvage the season but we're still on borrowed time.

They will get none.

Another example of no plan B.
Go all in (the afc way) on 1 player, if it doesn't come off we usually see nothing.
It's obviously just opportunistic buys when they arise, no set plan. I'm convinced Wenger just sees good players and therefore we should play good instead of looking at specialty players.

It's clearly this. How can you make plans when you're getting bent over every year, meaning your plans must go out the window? That's how we shop these days. Like desperados.

Watch guardiolas go for another instead of Alexis.
I'm a bit shocked he hasn't moved yet.

They will have a list.
We have nothing.

We are not where we want to be, or what we signed up for.

But that said, in the situation we are in... two trophies, fourth spot and signing Mesut, Pierre, Jonny, Lemar/Mahrez and a DM will represent a decent finish to the year.

AFIAK - we're the only big club that was getting close to being in trouble with the PL short term cost controls. For a club that's spent over a decade bemoaning the lack of rigour in FFP application, it's hilariously incompetent.
