Arsène Wenger stadium sounds quality.
But there was only one man who invested his career for the stadium change. Why not recognise that?
From 2006-13 Wenger was phenomenal.
This stadium is synonymous with what Wenger had to go through, what he put in etc.
Who else we going to recognise anyway? Rioch? Graham? Or the manager who won the title 40 years before?
Wenger was the golden generation.
Graham went to manage Sp**s ffs, after taking brown envelopes.
Two pages and not a single Squad Cost Stadium joke.
@Makingtrax would be proud
Big Dick Energy Arena. Indirectly honoring big Wengz, with out spelling it out
Johan Cruyff arena in Amsterdam, Wenger is probably the greatest ever Gunner over Chapman.
He helped build the stadium ffs, name it after him. Look forward to Emirates @ the Arsène Wenger stadium.
It all depends on sponsorship, if the Emirates require the stadium name, that’s the end of it.
If not, then the Arsène Wenger stadium has a great ring to it. Nothing wrong with naming the stadium after the best manager Arsenal ever had, and who helped build it, and gave so much of himself.
Would rather the stadium be associated with one of the greatest men to grace football than an airline or a country that has human rights issues.
Or the wengerdrome
Everything in that article is a year old and nothing has happened to make it newsworthy again. What a bizarre read. ‘Journalists’ (if you can use that term for somebody who works for Sportzbible) truly scraping the barrel these days.
The idea itself is a good one - I love the sound of the ‘Arsène Wenger Arena’ (especially as the Emirates naming rights aren’t worth much) but the club have gone another way.
would be the only right thing to do.
won't live forever but as soon as he is gone, stadium name will change.
give it to him, now..
Wener Arena is the only answer.
He deserves it, Arsène put up with years of financial struggle and stayed with the club to deliver champions league football and revenue year after year.
Arsenal gained footballers who came to play under Wenger, who has won us many FA cups, deliveref many FA cups and many league titles, one of which he has gone unbeaten.
How many fans has that brought us? How much more popularity in world football. He deserves it
Al-Arsène Stadium. Happy medium.
How about we buy the naming rights to Tottenshams stadium and name it after Wenger?
Like most have said, Stand and a statue should do it. Love Wenger but I'd rather have the income from the naming rights.
He built it from top to bottom with his bare hands so it’s only right. Stade De Wenger sounds perfect to me.
Unless Wenger is going to pay us, it‘s stupid to leave out a potential revenue stream for sentimental reasons.
A stand would be appreciated however.
I'd love to enter Arsène Wenger sometime.
