(Thought I might try and create some kind of Advent Calendar). 🎄🎁

FIRST December 1991.
On this Date, was a League Division One match between Arsenal 🟥⬜ v Tottenham Hotspur ⬜🟦. Played at Highbury in front of a crowd of, 38,892. Arsenal won 2 - 0, Kevin Campbell ⚽🥅 and Ian Wright ⚽🥅 were the goalscorers. (Arsenal's Starting Eleven was an all English line up).

SECOND May 1992.
This was a League Division One fixture. Arsenal 🟥⬜ v Southampton 🟨🟦 at Highbury. Arsenal won the match 5 - 1. Arsenal goalscorers were, Ian Wright ⚽⚽⚽🥅, Kevin Campbell ⚽🥅, and Alan Smith ⚽🥅.
The goalscorer for the Saints was Glenn Cockerill.

THIRD October 1992.
This match was Arsenal 🟥⬜ v Chelsea 🟦🟦. Played at Highbury, this game was under the New 'Premier League' era. Arsenal won the match 2 - 1, Paul Merson ⚽🥅 and Ian Wright ⚽🥅 scored the Arsenal goals. Dennis Wise had scored the equaliser for Chelsea.
This London Derby attracted a crowd of 27,780. A reduced crowd I believe, due to the North Bank Stand being rebuilt.

FOURTH May 1993.
Not an awful lot to write about this match. This was a Premier League match at Highbury. This was Arsenal 🟥⬜ Vs Queens Park Rangers ⬜🟦.
The game was a 0 - 0 draw, watched in front of a crowd of 18,817.

FIFTH March 1994.
Arsenal 🟥⬜ made the journey to Ipswich Town 🟦⬜, for a Premier League match. The fixture at Portman Road was one to remember, Arsenal won 5 - 1.
Ian Wright scored a hatrick ⚽⚽⚽🥅, Ray Parlour ⚽🥅, and an Own Goal ⚽🥅, completed the Arsenal goals.
There was another Arsenal player that scored in the match. Unfortunately, Lee Dixon scored an Own Goal. ⚽🥅🤬

SIXTH November 1994.
Arsenal 🟥⬜ were up against Sheffield Wednesday ⬜🟦, at Highbury, in a Premier League fixture.
This was a 0 - 0 draw played in front of 33,705. Sheffield Wednesday had Des Walker and Romanian International Dan Petrescu in the squad.
I was at this match, sat in the Clock End. 🕒

SEVENTH January 1995.
On this Date, Arsenal 🟥⬜ were in FA Cup 3rd Round action. The Gunners were away to Millwall FC 🟦⬜ at the New Den.
Playing in front of a crowd of 17,718, we drew 0 - 0, earning us a Replay back at Highbury.

EIGHTH April 1995.
On this Date, Arsenal 🟥⬜ were away to Queens Park Rangers ⬜🟦 at Loftus Road. Arsenal lost this Premier League fixture 3 - 1, Tony Adams scoring Arsenal's consolation goal in the 90th minute. ⚽🥅
QPR must loved to have played against us, having beaten us 3 - 1 at Highbury a few months before.

NINTH December 1995.
Arsenal 🟨🟦 were away to Southampton 🟥⬜ for a Premier League match. The game played at the Dell, was a 0 - 0 draw. It was played in front of a crowd of 15,238.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, Tony Adams was Sent Off in the 88th minute. 🟥

TENTH January 1996.
On this date, Arsenal 🟥⬜ were in the League Cup, (Quarter Final). We were at home to Newcastle United ⬜⬛, where we Won 2 - 0. Ian Wright was the scorer of both goals. ⚽⚽🥅
37,857 were at Highbury to watch this Cup Tie. A bad day for Newcastle as David Ginola was shown the Red Card. 🇫🇷🟥🤬

ELEVENTH December 1963.
On this Date in 1963, former Arsenal 🟥⬜ Left Back Nigel Winterburn was Born. Nigel was part of the famous Back Four, which had, Dixon, Bould, Adams and Keown.

Arsenal 🟥⬜ were away to Blackburn Rovers 🟦⬜, for a Premier League match. Arsenal won 2 - 0, with Ian Wright scoring both goals. ⚽⚽🥅
The match at Ewood Park was watched by a crowd of 24,303.

THIRTEENTH September 1997.
Arsenal 🟥⬜ were at home to Bolton Wanderers, ⬜🟦 for a Premier League fixture. A crowd of 38,138 were at Highbury to see Arsenal win 4 - 1.
Bolton went 1 - 0 up, Alan Thompson scoring for the visitors. But an Ian Wright hatrick, ⚽⚽⚽🥅 and a goal from Ray Parlour, ⚽🥅 gave Arsenal a 4 - 1 victory.

On this Date, Arsenal 🟨🟦, were at the Theatre of Dreams. Yes, the Gunners were at Old Trafford, 🏟️ Manchester United. 🟥⬜⬛
This was a Premier League fixture. Arsenal won this match 1 - 0, Marc Overmars ⚽🥅 scoring the goal.
The game was watched by an Old Trafford crowd of, 55,174.

FIFTEENTH January 2000.
Arsenal 🟥⬜ played Sunderland AFC 🟨🟦 at Highbury, in a Premier League fixture.
Arsenal beat the team from the North East 4 - 1. Thierry Henry (2), ⚽⚽🥅 and Davor Suker (2), ⚽⚽🥅 were the Arsenal goalscorers. Former Gunner Niall Quinn scored for Sunderland AFC.
The crowd of 38,039 saw two other former Arsenal players play for the opposition. Steve Bould and Stefan Schwarz.

On this Date, Arsenal 🟥⬜ travelled to Yorkshire to play Leeds United ⬜⬜ at Elland Road.
In this Premier League fixture, Arsenal ran out 4 - 0 winners. The goalscorers were, Thierry Henry, ⚽🥅 Martin Keown, ⚽🥅 plus two goalscoring substitutes, Nwanko Kanu, ⚽🥅 and Marc Overmars ⚽🥅.
A day to forget for the 39,307 home crowd, as Ian Harte was shown the Red Card. 🟥

SEVENTEENTH November 2001.
This was North London Derby Day. Arsenal 🟥⬜ were away to Tottenham Hotspur ⬜🟦 at White Hart Lane. Tottenham were managed by Glenn Hoddle, who was facing Arsène Wenger.
Arsenal drew this match 1 - 1. Robert Pires ⚽🥅 opened the scoring, then Gustavo Poyet equalised.
The 36,049 crowd in attendance, witnessing a draw.

EIGHTEENTH December 2001.
Arsenal 🟥⬜ had a Premier League match at Highbury against Newcastle United. ⬜⬛ It was a day to forget for Arsenal, as we lost 3 - 1. We took a 1 - 0 lead through Robert Pires, ⚽🥅 but Newcastle came back with three goals.
A Bad Day for the Gunners saw the Romford Pele, Ray Parlour shown a Red Card just before half time. 🟥 Newcastle United were also reduced to Ten Men when Craig Bellamy was given his marching orders. 🟥

NINETEENTH December 1969.
Wishing Former Arsenal 🟥⬜ player David Hillier a Very Happy Birthday. David was in the Arsenal Youth Team from 1984 - 1988.
When David was in the First Team, he made 143 appearances, scoring 2 goals.
David then went onto play for Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers and Barnet.

TWENTYTH December 1980.
Today is the Birthday of another former Arsenal player, maybe not everyones favourite, Ashley Cole.
Ashley came up from the youth team and had a loan spell at Crystal Palace. When Ashley was in the Arsenal first team, he made 228 appearances, scoring 9 goals.
Happy Birthday Ashley. 🎂🎊
