Really worrying if that story is true.

The 'staff' they're primarily referring to aren't the typical agency-employed staff you see on match days (who are already stretched as it is).

That consulting group will be targeting the round-the-clock staff who sort out tickets, security, accommodation, cleaning, cooking, and provide any support the players or club needs.

I'm all for maximising our potential off the pitch, but this lot typically strip what makes a club a club, and I can never support that.

Having experienced a couple redundancies myself, I don’t see what else can come out of consultancy with “BCG”. Arsenal do like to stay “lean” and they will cut costs where they can unfortunately.

Wouldn’t say Arsenal are in dire straights at all, but it’s definitely a cost cutting exercise. Ironically winning has risen the costs of existing significantly.

Atleast we now know why Arteta has been hiding the massage beds recently.

We think some players at the club (in the non star category) were on salaries that were 1.5-2 times what they would be on at other PL clubs, and on top fo that, they have huge win bonuses? You saying Nelson received a huge bonus on top of his 100K/week salary, say it aint so.

We should firstly look at stop offering higher than market rates for non star players - would obviously help with selling also. Stingy with the lunch lady and kit man but offer Nelson 100K a week.
