In summery we so rich.

Wage bill will likely decrease after Partey Jorgi and Nelson all contract run out
I think our wage bill will increase next year if we don't wanna lose important players. We have 24 first team players this year but just 22 players on first team contracts. So next year of course Nwaneri and MLS will have a new contract, hopefully also Gabriel, Saliba and Saka and I guess Martinelli and Trossard. Plus maybe next year we go with 1 or 2 more squad players. And we don't pay Nelson. So let's make a hypothetical in/out

Out
  • Partey: 200k
  • Sterling: 160k
  • Tierney: 110k
  • Jorginho: 110k
  • Zinchenko 150k
  • Total: 730k
In/New Contract
  • Nwaneri +80k
  • MLS +80k
  • Gabriel +60k
  • Saliba +50k
  • Saka +100k
  • Trossard/Martinelli +30k
  • Zubimenda 120k
  • Striker 250k
  • Defender 80k
  • LW 200k
  • Total: 1'100k

Well said mate but I would honestly cut ties with the Visit Rwanda sponsorship anyway because do we honestly get much out of it ? How much do they pay us ?
I want to say it's like 7-10 million annually. The issue is that almost nobody you partner with is going to be clean.

I'm sure the working conditions at the factories that manufacture Adidas merchandise are substandard. If you partner with a bank or equity firm, they're money laundering for untold horrors around the world and so on and so forth. All of these problems are intertwined.

I think it's £10M per season and it's up this summer. Club will be looking for something worth at least £15M per season apparently.

15-20m from sleeve sponsor would be decent tbf. I can imagine Everton made a good fortune from the Angry Birds sponsor

Anyway, It's interesting that nobody mentions PSG and Bayern having Visit Rwanda as one of their sponsors but want to politicize Arsenal's affilitation

So wage costs increased from £235m (22/23) to £328m (23/24).

If you go to capology.com they have us on £133m (22/23), £171m (23/24) and £172m (24/25).

So of course in capology.com are just player salaries but still a huge gap. Does that mean that bonuses are so high? Or how much are we paying to the rest of the stuff, womens and youth teams?

What I can see:
  • This should mean that for the next financial year (24/25) wage cost should stay almost the same.
  • Important for how much we can spend will be player amortistaion: It went up from £139m to £171m but not sure if it will go down for the year 24/25 although we spent "just" £100m.
  • But Increase from player sales (+£20-30m) will have a direct impact on the financial result
Does anyone know a site where they track player amortisation?

Sites like capology are best ignored. All their estimations are based on what gets circulated in the media and that's mostly speculation on base salaries. They don't include performance bonuses or any other kind of bonus.

I think it shows that by and large, we still need a capital injection from Kroenke if we want to go big this summer with a striker, CM and maybe a left winger, which we will need. Depends how willing he is to compete.

It will probably also have to be supplemented with some player sales. Vieira is one we should be looking to sell for a decent price this summer.

My general understanding is that we're comfortably within the boundaries of the PL and European financial regulations.

But we're not a profitable business so going out and really hitting the summer transfer window hard will be dependant on how much Kroenke wants to back us with low interest loans.

Agreed. This was for season 23/24, where we spent nearly £260M and got in just over £60M. It seems we had to borrow a further £60M from KSE for this financial year.

So to spend similar this season, you'd imagine we might have to do likewise, or try and get more from sales. We are hamstrung In that regard because of the Jesus and Tomiyasu injuries because now they defo won't be able to be sold.

You'd imagine with the results from 24-25 not having anywhere near so much a net transfer spend, The finances would look even healthier for this season but we still might have a fairly substantial Amortisation bill, these accounts show we owe over £170M in payments, the 2nd highest in the league.

These f*ckers really have a humiliation fetish, don't they?

Isn't it enough that they get repeatedly sh*t on during the season that they have to follow it up with a pre-season humbling as well?
