Were people not watching on Wednesday? For the first 20 mins Nasri and Arshavin we pinned back in our own half, it was effectively a 4-5-1 anyway.

no, it wasn't. we tried to set a high line, but were pushed back. meaning, nasri and arshavin often began pressing 15-20 yards into their half. this in turn lead our wingers to track their full backs, not "contain them". there is a difference from tracking a run and protecting the space in which the full backs are making a run into. our starting position needs to be more "conservative" and "catious". on wednesday, far too often nasri and arshavin were forced to run after their full backs. on tuesday, we need to defend deeper. be more compact. close the space before the full backs make their runs.
