Really sad to see McCabe go. I remember her curling in a free kick as a fresh faced 21 yo. One of my favorite players of all time. Always spirited and capable of magic at any moment with that left foot. I love that they gave her the armband today.

I thought Mead's creative influence was really impressive today. She has a vision and trickery about her that will be hard to replace. She was just so good the year England won the Euros. Worthy of her song. I hate to see her time at Arsenal end with a long series of injuries, like so many, but even then she was instrumental in winning the Champions league in 2025.

Really is the end of an era with these two leaving. Sorry Pelova was similarly hampered by injury in her time at Arsenal. She looked so good with Netherlands before she came. Was really looking forward to her being here long term.

Not a big surprise anymore, but just the medical is missing.

Think Stanway, Batlle, Cerci and Reuteler are all done already. Some start into the transfer window.

Arsenal unrelated, but:

Probably the Ballon D'Or winner is joining Lionesses London City this summer. She will surely get a huge contract there, otherwise she wouldn't join them.

They got Michele Kang as owner (who owns Lyon too) and she heavily invests in women football.

We didn't offer her a new deal, then we changed our mind and offered her one but going by reports it said her role in the team would've been reduced, so she turned it down and signed for that scumbags
In addition to this, we already have signed Batlle behind the doors, who is younger with 26 and one of the best fullbacks in the world. Only negative thing is that she is a natural right foot and RB, but can play on the left too.

But Batlle and Fox will be our fullbacks and that are probably 2 of the 5 best? (maybe even Top 3) fullbacks.

It's not the end of the world. Ona is an upgrade. I don't think it's even a "snake" move per se because the women's game is certainly a bit more limited in terms of landing places where you're going to make comparable money and have comparable facilities etc. When that back line was fully fit she was the weak link so let her kiss the Chelsea badge and finish below us again next season.

Oh aye Battle is an upgrade. Just feel the move to that lot is a kick in the teeth for a lot of our supporters that have backed her through her utterly braindead moments and her petulance. That always put me off of her as a player, just something dislikable about her.

Players like that you love on your own team and then hate when they're on another team. Maybe her feelings are hurt about the contract situation or whatever. At the end of the day, we got her best years, she's never winning a CL at Chelsea and they're paying for her decline. I'm happy now that we're dining at the best table throughout the club in terms of the players we can attract.

Might be feelings but also woman football is a little different than mens football. Regarding salaries and stuff like that. Maybe she settled in London. Imo its less space to try not step on fans feelings in women sport. Read somewhere Pelova might go to Sp**s where we have previously loan players there. Its just a different.

Yeah for sure. It doesn't feel as offensive to me. It's not like Ashley Cole doing it.

Arsenal Quotes

When you grow up with a club and you end up playing for them and winning things, you are from that club. I was born here. I was formulated here.
