I don't mind the idea in theory. Will have to see how it plays out in practice to know for sure. The rule definitely needs changing from the current interpretation as it's now far removed from the point of offsides, which is to prevent attackers from just hanging out behind the defenders. There's no material advantage from having your toenail slightly ahead of someone else, especially since they will rule goals out for that even if it's not the player who ends up scoring (e.g. what they were looking at Hincapie for yesterday).
The truly elite superstar times their run almost perfectly like EH. Kind of takes away from players who take time to work on their movement and positioning no?
