I thought it was obvious Wenger finished top 4 when there were only 2 or 3 other teams competing for top 4. Now we have City and Sp**s alongsids the sky 4 hes dropped into 5th and 6th where we would remain under him.

Its all good and well finishing top 4 when the teams challenging you for 4th place are Everton and Aston Villa.

Great point! We were achieving top4 in an era where only 4 teams were good enough to challenge and if we go back to the early Wenger days only ManUtd were the force to be recon with.

Top4 was nothing special back in the days and portraying it as some kind of achievement was of course ridiculed by the infamous ''4th place trophy''.

Personally I don't see being in the top4 for 20years in a row as some kind of success, it's all about trophies at the end of the day.

Wenger is clearly behind the modern coaches tactically, don't know how that can be questioned. Our spacing, pressing, and defensive organization is poor compared to the other top teams.

Wengers won 3 trophies in the 5 years, and been to a least one other final, possibly 2 after Thursday.

So if he's behind, maybe the others didn't want to win more . . . what other explanation can there be?

Truth be told, objectively speaking, this had to be Arsène Wenger’s last season at Arsenal.

This has been his worst in the PL and with no saving grace in other competitions as well.
