I **** on him a lot, but if this is true, good on Edu and the gang.
@field442 debunked it already. Guy it’s quoting just chatting rubbish.

Arteta: our squad is too big, 31 players is unmanageable
Not sure about that he played one or tow europa games this season
Its bye bye for him then in the summer. I have been thinking with Chambers getting no interest or no links turning up that Arteta wants him to stay here so Saliba, Holding, Chambers, Mari and Gabriel is likely to be our 5 going into next season.I don't know about Mavro having a good season. Was out with a torn meniscus in Oct-Nov and it seems like he gets subbed early when he starts
Wouldn't be against that but prefer Van Aanholt if we're talking free agent LBs. Bertrand is/was a solid player. Juan Bernat is apparently extending with PSG so we don't have a lot of options.
If this is true, it makes more sense.
If we keep stockpilling back up players with no resale value how are we going to raise funds and progress?
We have to prepare for the future by lining up potential replacements as early as possible so if we were to receive an exorbitant offer for Tierney, we would be able to replace him internally
and use the funds to strengthen elsewhere. Arsène used to do that. Anelka was here to take over from Wrighty. A young Alex Manninger deputized for Seaman with great success in 97-08 and Matthew Upson looked promising the following the season though both were eventually let go. Ljungberg was allowed to settle in slowly and eventually replace Parlour. We moved Lauren to right back in Dixon´s last season. Gael Clichy was signed from Cannes, impressed in his first seasons and became a regular when Cole left. Flamini and Cesc were brought in whilst we had Vieira, Edu and Gilberto. Arsène identified Reyes and RVP as successors to Pires and Bergkamp early on. In January 2005, Wenger earmarked Eboue as the player to take over from Lauren. In January 2006, we were short in a number of positions, particularly left back where Seb Larson had to fill in and it looked likely that we would miss out on top 4. Signing a "proven" premiership player like Olivier Bernard may have been tempting for a different manager. Arsène, however, planned ahead and brought in Diaby, Theo and Adebayor. We cliched fourth place and Eboue looked a real gem in our Champions League campaign. Neves Denilson was added to the squad in august 2006 and showed great promise in our Carling Cup run that ended with a defeat against Chelsea in the final, even though we took the lead through Theo (his first goal for the club) Flamini supplanted Gilberto, allowing Cesc to add goals to his game and Adebayor softened the loss of Henry in 07-08,. Arsène had their replacements lined up already in the form of Diarra (unfortunately, sold to Portsmouth in January 2008), Alex Song (signed from Bastia a few years earlier), aforementioned Diaby, Bendtner (signed from KB in 2004) and Eduardo. With everyone clamouring for us to sign Alonso, Barry or Inler, Arsène opted for Ramsey. Arsène turned his customary profit in the summer of 2009 by selling Adebayor (and Kolo) to Man City. Wenger deployed Van Persie as the lone striker and Bendtner started the season from the wing. The Carling Cup was incredibly exciting back then. Our youngsters were desperate to seize the opportunity and force their way into the first team. We did have some dross at the time, namely Silvestre, but Arsène generally abstained from signing players who would block our talent´s path to the first team. That´s why were able to recruit coveted talents like Chamberlin, Gnabry and @Mitch the following years. Coinciding with Kroenkes takeover, we started to primarily acquire established names (Arteta, Mertesacker, Park, Benayoun Santos, Giroud, Podolski) in the pursuit of short-term success (top four). That´s not to exonerate Arsène Wenger completely. With Van Persie´s persistent injury record, Wenger took a chance on Chamakh and Squillaci was signed as back up to Vermaelen and Koscielny. Our Carling Cup team came to be characterised by a distinct lack of hunger and promise. It comprised unfulfilled talents whom Wenger remained loyal to (Eboue, Diaby, Denilson and Bendtner) in addition to short-term signings who were difficult to ship (Squillaci, Arshavin, Chamakh) Gibbs, Wilshere and maybe Bellerin were the last talents whom we seemed to have a plan for. The lack of planning means we are left scavening for expereinced players who can contribute right away.

@El Duderino what are your thoughts on Abdel Vinicius as an understudy to Tierney?
Last winter I think. Done his ACL under Arteta.
Sir Garlick has done it again hasn't he?If this is true, it makes more sense.

@El Duderino what are your thoughts on Abdel Vinicius as an understudy to Tierney?
You're looking too far ahead. We have to address the present situation we're facing now and Bertrand makes sense even though I'd prefer a better one here.If we keep stockpilling back up players with no resale value how are we going to raise funds and progress?

@El Duderino what are your thoughts on Abdel Vinicius as an understudy to Tierney?
If he can sell/loan Chambers and loan Nelson that would be icing on the cake. Not to mention getting rid of Sokratis Mesut even mean canceling the contract but was right thing to do only mustafi left and edu did achieve all the targets for January and will deserve credit it's a poverty window usually
Don't think this will happen i hope Nelson force a loan move at leastIf he can sell/loan Chambers and loan Nelson that would be icing on the cake.
This window was all about getting creative midfielder and gk to be fair i was worried the club will go for expensive off form player like Eriksen Oscar thankfully we acted quick and got Ødegaard and that massive help for not PL only but in our EL run too. Matt Ryan is very good backup signing and we should be looking to sign him permanently in summer. Not ruling out of signing Ødegaard in summer if he proven good
So say you have Huddersfield. That is the kind of team we will loan our players to. Or clubs abroad like Nice and Stuttgart.
What Huddersfield is to Arsenal. Arsenal is to Real Madrid.
I don't know how I feel about that.
