Highly doubt we’ll get Partey, playing poker with a pair of 6’s. We’ll most likely going for a cheaper option at the last minute when we’re already off the pace in the league.

  • Arteta may or may not have more control within club structure, nothing is clear yet after the Raul debacle.

Another season is over before it begins, same old Arsenal.

We finished the season very strongly mentally to be perturbed these kind of projections. The biggest achievement for me was not the FA Cup. It was belief that the Manager and players can work together following methods put in place and beat the best teams. Even the outcasts coming back into the team based on a clean slate are doing so with their tails between their legs. Simply because they are coming into a side with belief and honours. We are on a high and we should be able to play Fulham , Westham , Liverpool and Sheffield United with the team we got before the window shuts. Liverpool away stands out but also not the place to throw on new signings.

We are realistically short of our primary target Partey and bringing back Ceballos on loan. Ceballos is up to Madrid. Our position is clear. We cannot force their hands. They also have their team to soir out and once they do we would be clear on that case. With Partey 2 bids have been turned down and that means we are serious about bringing him in. We may have spoken to the players camp and confident we can ride in out. Same with Gabriel we were confident with the player’s camp and could fend off competitors to secure him. Aouar is a case that may happen if the conditions change. For example if we can get some money in from Douzi / Lucas / AMN and become light in midfield.

Our midfield has been good but we have been very poor in creativity from midfield. Our chances have come from combinations and not from a standout player. As compared to the top 4 side we are exposed in that department. Only Willian in our team appeared in the top 10. Unlike some on here looking for the big names on heavy tags , I would go for Buendia and use him with a pumped up Özil to give that balance.

The window as is stands we need to be patient.

In terms of value for money Willian is far better than 70-80M on Grealish. Not just because of the overall outlay but because we need that cash for other areas.

Would you prefer Grealish for 80M and maybe Gabriel but no new midfield signings? Or Willian, Gabriel and potentially two top class midfielders?

I like Grealish as much as you, but Willians chance creation gives you better value for money than Jack.

I know we can’t sign him, money isn’t there. You’re right, we have to stretch the cash.

Thankfully we have some good value in few players we got like Martinez Niles because we getting fk all from Holding Chambers Sokratis and even Guendouzi.

hopefully we end up getting 60M fron Niles Martinez and Guendouzi (if we lucky someone from france bidding 15-20M euros)
