@Riou has a found a new team to bully now he can no longer use that stick to beat Sp**s

What, no chance...there is always something to knock those ****s about!

Did you know that when the Prem was created in 1992, the previous trophy for the top division was given back to the football league for the 2nd division.

Which technically means Sp**s have never won a league title ever, just 2 Championship Titles lol...what a loser football team, plus only trophies since I have been born and I am fooking old 🤣

Fair play on winning that.

But our last one was 1994 and yours was 1982, do they not do math in Birmingham bro?
Nobody was talking about dates. Someone suggested we hadn’t won a European trophy that’s all.

It wasn’t some sort of attempt to say we’d won more than you. Don’t be so defensive 😂

If it makes you feel better to punch down then feel free. We’ve won absolutely **** all for decades. Knock yourself out

@Riou is being defensive than usual at the moment, not sure what has happened at school to upset him this week?

We say it's a load of bollocks but the clubs *want* this. PL Board tried to close this yet it didn't get the votes required.
No surprise.

It makes it harder for smaller clubs to work their way up.
We (villa fans) and fans of other clubs our sort of level moan about it making it hard for us to break into the top 4. Which it does

but it also makes it harder for Championship clubs to spend more to work their way up to the Premier League. So it protects that income for the clubs already there

That's the problem with the Premier League being its own entity. Of course they don't have the interests of EFL clubs in mind.

That gap is only going to grow and grow. Wouldn't be surprised to see the 3 promoted teams go straight back down again this season

it's all a knock on effect

And they know it. It would have been unheard of for the promoted teams to sell their better players after promotion even 5 years ago but Sunderland have sold Bellingham and Burnley look to be selling Trafford.

Promotion has become about bringing in as much money to the club as possible for 12 months before going back down again.

I'm still amazed that Sunderland sold Jobe, and why wouldn't Jobe want to play in the PL - he'd start every game too.

Promotion has become merely about bringing in as much money to the club as possible for 12 months before going back down again.
And then you have two seasons to go back up again before parachute payments run out.

And it also creates the same issues in the Championship because it's usually the parachute teams fighting for promotion because they have so much more money to spend.

There's basically three levels now: Premier League clubs, parachute clubs, rest of the EFL.

Yep. Because it’s impossible to stay up without spending loads of money. But PSR means you’re not allowed to spend that money even if your owners can afford it

Arsenal Quotes

I believe the target of anything in life should be to do it so well that it becomes an art.
When you read some books they are fantastic, the writer touches something in you that you know you would not have brought out of yourself. He makes you discover something interesting in your life.
If you are living like an animal, what is the point of living? What makes daily life interesting is that we try to transform it to something that is close to art. And football is like that.
