It’s a good question.

Duran looks really very good. BUT he’s still quite raw. What he does well is score goals, some of them eye catching, and he does it pretty often.

However his all round play is nowhere near as good as Watkins. His hold up play, passing, pressing etc just hasn’t been there. That’s why Watkins keeps getting the nod.

As a team we play better with Watkins in the side even though Duran scores more goals. If that makes sense.


That being said, against City Duran’s all round play WAS there. He was far far better than he usually was and played an excellent all round game. If he can keep that part of his game at that level then Watkins is going to have a real problem keeping his place

I thought it was intentional to be honest. He deliberately left one on him.

He slips, and then he gives Schar a kick for his troubles.

I’m not sure it should have been a red. Schar kicks him first. A yellow each would work for me.

Okay fair enough. What's problematic is that these types of incidents are routinely ignored by PGMOL yet they clamp down on a 50/50 when there's been so many more clear cut examples of violent conduct just from this season.

Hello Stevo, hope that you doing well. I have an interest in Art, drawing football stadiums. I Love Classic and New and Interesting stadiums. Quite like Aston Villa, Villa Park is a Classic ground, full of History. Along with the likes of Old Trafford, Anfield, Goodison Park (at the moment). In addition to the grounds that are no longer here, Highbury, (East and West Stands remain) Maine Road, Upton Park.
Have been to Villa Park three times. A favourite ground of mine, the Holte End Stand looks impressive. I like the surrounding areas at Villa Park, the Holte End Pub looks a Great place for a pre-match drink.
I know about the surrounding areas of Villa Park, by watching the above YouTube video. Inside Villa Park looks impressive, with the Hospitality areas.
Scottish Architect Arcibald Leitch, designed some Classic grounds in the uk. He designed the stands for Villa Park, Highbury, Craven Cottage, Goodison Park, and Ibrox.
Hope you can stay at Villa Park for many more years.
