Not confirmed yet, could yet sign a new deal. If we hopefully stay largely injury free to key players then we will win the league again next season. We still have Alonso. Kompany is a novice. I think Bayern will be even worse, despite new signings.

To inform ya’ll of our summer business, we signed Aleix Garcia from Girona and Martin Terrier from Rennes. More signings expected.

We have a problem with Jonathan Tah though. He goes into the last year of his contract and is adamant on leaving for Bayern Munich. They offered 20m euros. Bayer Leverkusen refused and hold out for 40m euros, not wanting to strengthen Bayern. They either offer that or he leaves on a free next season.
Leverkusen are looking for a CB to replace him but not willing to pay over 30m euros for one. Hard to do.

4-1 loss to Arsenal in pre season. I’m not overly worried despite the big scoreline, Arsenal much sharper and fitter today.
We lost a pre season friendly last season to Real Sociedad (2-0 was it?) then went on to win the Bundesliga unbeaten. Will history repeat itself? Fingers crossed.

The Tah issue is dragging on and needs to be solved as soon as possible.

These players just can't resist when Bayern comes knocking. They're still a level (or more) above any other club in Germany.

He wants Bayern. His agents practically came out and made it known that he will only go to Bayern. Bayern are taking advantage and lowballing because of this, and will wait and delay on it as much as they can. Leverkusen want certainty, if he goes they have to replace him. He the best CB we have. Which isn’t saying much as we’re already weak in the area. But we’re unlikely to pay over £25mil for a new CB.

Went to Leverkusen to watch the Leverkusen - Eintracht Frankfurt game back in December. Feels awesome to have been part of their epic journey last season. Hope they do well in the CL and don't lose too many of their important players.
