The "amazing in the Championship, **** in the PL" list of strikers is literally endless. It's arguably the most stereotypical PL flop. He didn't score loads there either. His best season there is at best on par with what Joel Piroe is doing currently and it's not like anyone gives a **** about him.

Let's be real the hype is entirely around his goal tally. Some people simply don't care/recognize/whatever the quality of the opposition there. That's fine, but at the same time I think it's a bit unnecessary for people to outright dismiss those concerns as it's the main reason no other top club has gone in for him yet despite there being a lot of clubs lacking strikers.

This is probably true. Havertz/Jesus don't take that second at Leicester or the Real Madrid chance.

There’s concerns with him I think everyone agrees. Same with the heading.

Thing is though unless you sign Isak who’s probably impossible every other possible target has some pretty glaring flaws.

I think with Gyo even if he underwhelms his floor means he’ll get 10-15 goals at worst and also his quick movements will open up so much space for Saka and Martinelli.

Why the f would we throw money for a striker that doesnt score enough, if thats the case stick with Jesus, Havertz and Merino because they fit the system, get us a true goalscoring cf, Arteta will adapt and tweak, its what great coaches do, otherwise why did bald fraud buy Haaland

Pep had to tweak his system a lot and he had prime KDB.

I have watched him play loads in the CL, especially when he was facing decent competition which was rare.

The only good teams he's faced is RBL and City, and this was City at their absolute worst. He was okay against both. Scoring 2 penalties doesn't mean anything to me when evaluating a player.

His best game I've seen was against Porto.

Regardless, the main point of bringing in those guys is what they can become. People want Gyokeres for what they think he is now.

No it's not on a different planet, there is probably a slight improvement in quality throughout the league but it's not vastly different. People call it one of the farmers leagues along with the others.

Ekitike has a similar record to Havertz there for us this season too, just for clarity.

You say that but cant ignore his goal tally. You cant teach that. Would he be any worse than Kai? I dont think so.
