It’s hard to tell tbh. At the end of the day he’s making an absolute mockery of the league which is all you can really expect. Even compared to other mediocre strikers who have put up top stats in that league he’s on another level. He also impressed when playing against us despite gettting no service he bullied Saliba, outpaced Kiwior with the ball and smashed it against the bar.

There’s a chance he’s not just a big fish in a small pond but simply a big fish and let’s be honest, none of us really know which it is.

I hear what you’re saying, but that duel against Saliba was in the last few minutes when we were 5-1 up. He got largely pocketed, especially by Gabi in that match.

Guy currently makes £39,000 a week, so we’re gonna offer him 200? John Cross isn’t even trying anymore.

Does sound a bit much but we put Partey on £200k a week and if I remember correctly he was on something like £60k a week at Atletico.

I mean it could be. It depends on various factors: He's in demand, placement in our wage structure, status etc.

Marmoush is reportedly earning £295k a week and previously earned £30k at Frankfurt and I don't think there was any courting of the player.

But sometimes I definitely wonder why you can't offer players a lower salary and, if successful, a new contract or more performance-related bonuses at the beginning.

Jesus was on 90k at city. Tripled his wage at 265k coming here
Yeah but Man City offer a lot of incentives and bonuses which he probably would have reached winning regularly. He defo made more than £90k a week in the end.

Yes. But I’m sure his agent has good idea on how much our players are on. If the big striker you identified to fix your problems want 200k. You give him. It’s not crazy wage for Arsenal.

His current wage doesn't really matter. Several rich clubs are in for him so his agent will (rightfully, as everyone does) demand wages reflecting his status at the club he's joining.

No different than any other player. It's all relative to the club they're going to.

The clubs linked to him like United and Chelsea won’t offer him £200k
