At their peak Liverpool are still too good for us. But I like, what I see from our team. Two good strikers instead of Laca and Auba, then we can call ourselves genuine title contenders.

Isn't us not leaking shots against and on target something that the CBs have a part in also? Actually not sure how e.g. blocked shots are counted for those stats, but didn't he e.g. have one very good blocked shot against Watford? If that doesn't show up as a shot on target then that is on him.

Literally. I was saying at the time that all these meme outlets like Caught Offside and Sports Bible were probably going to be speaking about the price tags and comparing trophies. A couple of my friends actually did it and I had to teach them a quick lesson in how there isn’t just the transfer fee but also wages in the package, seems to go over people’s head. Not to mention the fact we couldn’t sign someone like Varane considering we don’t play European football right now.

I hate places like this, they’re the opposite of unbiased and objective. If White was to end up having a bad end to the season and Varane a good one they will probably revisit the transfer fees again

Of course it is. I think in my original post, I had in mind a couple of dangerous moments when better finishing would possibly have seen us concede. I can't remember now lol. Happily too, our midfield is much better so this defence is better protected. In essence, if you include the GK, the opposition have three lines of defence to get past in order to score. And we occasionally press from the front which helps. I was worried about White after Brentford but post covid, he's been solid.

White is a very good defender, under the right manager, but he's well short of world class level and will likely never get to it.
