League is very weak
I loved Gnabry before his injury, I remember it quite clearly. That loan to Pulis’ West Brom ruined the trust between Gnabry and Wenger.

It was Wenger’s worst decision in his Arsenal career.
Whatever happened, I don’t think you extend at Arsenal when Bayern want you. He’s a German kid and Bayern are the super club.

Gnabry also missed a whole season due to injury i think, after that he was sent on loan.

If it wasn't for his injury, he would've continued to blow up here. It's that injury which turned it all to **** for us.

Obviously, we didnt handle it all to well after that, but still.

How would you even know that? People exaggerate the loan like it was what ended his career at Arsenal when really Bayern wanted him after a great Olympics which he wasn't gonna say no too, they got him through Bremen then sent him to Hoffenheim so he basically spent another 2 seasons on loan. He was always gonna go to Bayern once they made such an effort for him.

Why are you talking about after he moved? We should have tied him down to a contract and shown trust in him while he was injured, if it was coming to an end. We should put trust in him and not loaned a foreign kid to a ****hole like West Brom, playing under a ****house manager like Pulis, surrounded by British players and no foreigners. It was lazy and poor management. We could have at least tied him down way before the loan.

We handed out contracts, loans and transfers to absolute bums. We should have been on alert about his contract and kept him. Bayern wanted him after a great Olympics? Well it was quite easy considering he had just completed a disgraceful loan at West Brom, had a great Olympics, and had a year left on his deal.

We wanted to extend his contract but he wanted to go to Bayern, what's so hard to understand about that? He needed a couple years of regular football and he wasn't good or fit enough so had to go play in some midtable Bundesliga teams before he was.

Lol except he was good enough. He showed that many times before his injury, young players don't consistently show it game in game out.

But you wouldn't have seen that because all you do is make sweeping remarks, you watch some Arsenal games on the side while working out don't you

By all reports he wasn't fit and ready for first team football. When he got back to fitness after Arsène worked with him for 6 months and he played with Germany and the U21 he fcked off to Bayern the first opportunity he got.

You're making up fan fiction in your head because you're a drama queen. The fact is he wasn't fit enough and kept getting injured and once he recovered fully and got in shape Bayern wanted him, nothing Arsenal could have done.

Just wondering, .. I know we gotta fix things longterm, but if we were to get Donnaruma on loan, which is supposedly to be loaned out and targeted by Roma, I wouldnt mind having an actually quality shortterm loan for getting back into top 4 for once.

The keeper situation doesn't look too impressive right now and might be a lot brighter next year, maybe with European football again.

You rarely stand a chance in our position to get an elite keeper on loan and I'd say we would have a good chance here
I thought we might bid for Donnarumma on a free but a season long loan with Leno out and Onana in should see us through until Okonkwo is ready for the bench.

More to the point, all the conversations with him were positive and he'd given the impression he was going to re-sign then he went to the Olympics, got tapped up and it was goodbye.

People just making scenarios up to bash Wenger and those in charge at the time.

"Conversations were positive and he was going to re-sign"
A good management would have used the opportunity to actually get him to re-sign?

You do know they negotiate contracts before signing it right?

There was no way Arsenal were keeping Gnabry once Bayern was in for him regardless of whatever his career was like at Arsenal, it's just the way the cookie crumbles. You guys don't actually know how contract negotiations work with agents and make it seem so black and white 'a good management would have re-signed him' like it's that simple.

Wenger prioritized developing Chamberlain over Gnabry, that's why he left.
