Andreas Pereira, United's 26 year old wonderkid forward who's scored like five goals in his career sold for 10m + 20% sell on clause to Fulham.

Nevermind the Schwarzer saga years ago. I wouldn't sell Fulham my piss if they were on fire.

Turner and Ramsdale.

Blimey.
Ramsdale has great distribution, other than that Leno is the better keeper, disgraceful how the club handled it last season - Ramsdale got injured and Leno gave a MOTM performance and got benched instantly just for passion boy to play like the English Almunia.
Turner looks ****ing dreadful, god knows what the club was thinking scouting him.

Anxious about our GK position this season.

Good to see we look like respecting his wishes.

Was infuriating to see the club trying to make demands with zero leverage when the players that want to move away (and the club wants to move away) keep agreeing personal terms with whoever is interested.

We completely mismanaged this keeper situation on a financial aspect.

There was no need to sign Turner already in winter for nearly the money we are selling Leno for. Turner still would be avalaible, nobody from Europe would have interest in him. He is a Gunner, so just say him in winter, that he is the top candidate to replace Leno if we sell him in summer. He would waited, he would never get another chance like this.

Now we are forced to sell Leno, because we already sign a back-up for Ramsdale and every interested club knows, that Leno isn't needed. Worst case scenario would have been, that nobody wants to sign Leno and we would get into the season with Ramsdale and Leno. Probably wouldn't have happened, because Leno has shown good performances and is good enough for many clubs as Number 1. Due to this, even club likes Fulham are pulling Edu's pants down.

It's a bit weird yeah.

But also Leno has 1 year in contract and is not good enough with his feet for a top team. Didn't start much last year because of Ramsdale.

Everyone knows this. So there are not many secrets about the situation. Maybe if Leno had 2 years in contract.

On the other hand we are not desperate for a 2nd goalie now so we would get fleeced.

Leno is the more consistent shot stopper and a little better coming off his line, but his distribution is poor and he has a weakness on crosses that was even getting targeted in the Bundesliga.

When we were a chaotic mess who conceded LOTS of shots on the regular he was a fantastic goalie for us. But the team has evolved, and needs a keeper who is a good distributer and proactive on crosses more than it needs the slight superiority in shot-stopping and one on ones.

No slight on Leno, who's a fine goalie and gave us great service, but just doesn't fit where we are going long term, and quite rightly wants to leave to play regular football, but doesn't want to uproot his family.

Ramsdale going forward carries more risk, and we don't know how he's going to be going forwards, but he at least represents the right 'type'.

Turner's here because he's pretty good and the marketing boon will pay for his fee and wages.

So we got 28M from Martinez and Leno but can't take anything from outfield players apart from willock.

It's tell us if no PL team interested forget about getting 10m for player

Fulham offered West Ham 18m for Diop (according to GFFN) but won't pay above 10m for Leno. This type of thing will need to be corrected soon.

We get almost half of what we paid for him. If I remember correctly he had a year in contract at Leverkusen back then.

It's fine.
We paid 23M€. Keepers market isn't like outfielders they don't cost crazy amount. It's acceptable deal we got money and his 100k a week wages is clear that'll help us complete other deals

he should have been loaned him out with option to buy last year but we ****ed up with Runnerson & the small fan from Brighton

8 / 10m feels a decent fee if bringing in a Foster / Forster / Hart for free... but we must have already spent that on Runnerson / Brighton guy / American guy fees + wages

He’s on £100k a week and has a year left.

My bet looking good.

8 mil is fair enough, he's been iced for a year.

If he was open to a club outside London you lot probably get double that fee though.

No club outside of England will pay much more for a 30 years old GK with a year in contract.

I don't even know what club in EPL would offer him a starting spot apart from Fulham. Do you?

He won't move to some ****ty club that's not even in EPL. He has enough quality and class.

We tend to overvalue a lot of our squad players to be honest. You'll still read people thinking we'll get money for Torreira when he's got 1 year left on his contract and we haven't been able to shift him for the last 3 seasons or so

Leno is a bit different, decent keeper but being on 100k a week, only having 1 year on his contract and seemingly wanting to stay in London, there isn't the competition for him. We kind of have to take what Fulham are offering.

The circumstances just aren't in our favour. £8m or whatever now is better than losing him for nothing next summer.

Terrible post. You can clearly tell you started following football very recently.
