The only thing thats crazy is you calling Lacazette one of the better strikers in his generation.
You’re only saying that because you think it’s a bigger compliment than it is.

You just want to disagree, but if you thought about it how many French strikers in the last few years would you say have had a better career. The list dries up after like 2-3 names no?

Benzema, Griez, Giroud…

He wasn’t even making the French national team?

And by “of his generation” I thought you meant all strikers, not just French.

Yeah I’m aware he wasn’t making the France team but he was probably the next name on the list after those guys.

I’m not trying to overrate the guy but I think it’s just rude to say that he’s a worse striker than someone who has only played there for the last 3-4 years because he wasn’t good enough to be an AM in England.

We can acknowledge that Havertz plays in a role that gets the best out of his ‘strengths’ for a team that is miles ahead of the teams Lacazette played for in terms of defence and midfield. I think it’s very unfair to compare Laca in a role that we all saw he physically couldn’t do to Havertz in the same role which is tailored to his strengths.

Havertz is not a better striker than Laca in any way shape or form mainly because Havertz is not a striker.

Auba > Kai
Kai > Laca

Its that simple.
Emirates era strikers (starters only):

1. RVP
2. Adebayor
3. Auba
4. Giroud
5. Jesus
6. Kai
7. Lacazette

Kai and Jesus is debatable. We played better football with Jesus leading the line, but Kai is more clinical. They're both BCM merchants and should be nothing more than squad players. Lacazette was the worst in my eyes, whilst Giroud was the most polarising. Adebayor is the forgotten striker. I have to remind people multiple times that Adebayor was voted in the 07/08 PL team of the season, alongside juggernauts like Ronaldo, Cesc, Torres and Gerrard.

Idk man, sometimes I have to really question what I’m doing on a place where people are genuinely saying that Kai the AM is a better striker.
It's because this place is incapable of looking at things without considering the context of Arteta. Lacazette had weaknesses but he was a good striker, Kai post Chelsea-metamorphosis has useful traits but is a God awful striker.

We need to get rid of him urgently, give it another 4-5 years we'll have Arsenal fans who will have grown up watching this terrorist at work thinking this is normal.

If we get the next striker signing right (we won’t) it will show the opportunity cost of having had Kai be the no1 option there for a season and a half.

I feel like I’m being pranked here ngl. Hardest position in football and a guy who wasn’t even good as an attacking mid has really convinced some of this fanbase that in a few seasons he’s become one of the best around? Really?

Laca has done more than Katie and JaySus. Top list otherwise. Peak Ade was a monster.

How is Jesus above Laca? The man never scored more than 11 goals in a WHOLE season for us. Tell me you hate Laca without telling me.

35 year old Burak Yılmaz dominated the French league and won the title for Lille a few years back mate. Laca's goals at Lyon don't mean that much.

Laca might be a better goalscorer overall, and it's not like he was prolific for us, but he has nothing else on Kai. He was brought in as a goalscorer and Kai scored as many goals as he did after being moved to CF.

I maybe might put Jesus above Giroud if we’re talking quality wise but Jesus just been injured his whole time here so can’t give that to him.

People are forgetting how awful Lacazette was, I’d take Eddie Nketiah over Lackofbreath.

We spent a decade watching Giroud and Lacazette up front that’s already bad enough.

At least we’re challenging for the title and in CL semi finals now compared to getting embarrassed all the time with that fatty Lacazette out of breath after 5 minutes.

The fact that Lacazette vs Havertz is a reasonable comparison to make tells you all about Havertz. We need to improve on him, and no Sesko isn‘t that improvement either, it‘s very likely that Havertz still starts over him.

Nah, I’m confident that Šeško’s ceiling is Adebayor/Dzeko level, or slightly worse. When he develops, he’ll be regarded as one of the best strikers in the league, but never in the Kane/Osimhen/Isak/Lewandowski category.
