I think the same, we need Rogers as option of that player that gets you goals from nothing. He can play centrally or as LW or even CF. Then you have Barcola/Ndiaye or someone else you think about. This way you have Havertz/Gyok; Barcola, Rogers and our new greek guy; Eze and Ødegaard; and Saka, Madueke and Dowman as an attacking options to mix up.

Suddenly we have a very decent selection of players. The problem here to me is if Arteta insists to play the same 4 every single game until they get injured. A mix like this means you need to rotate a lot more depending on teams, form and how tired your players are. That makes you unpredictable also. But if you go, spend 200M in attackers to keep playing Ødegaard, and Rice when that ever didn’t work then we are look poor at attack again.

We can play one game with Barcola, Rogers and Ødegaard together, and next game you can start Rogers on the left, Eze next to him both interchanging positions with a Lb overlapping.

I was just giving examples tbf. What we’re doing in CM hasn’t been the best use of resources tbf.

But if the plan was always to have 4 starting quality options for the 2 CM positions then maybe this has been a slow build rather than a waste of resources.

I just don’t understand why we don’t have the same attitude towards attack.

Zubimendi I think has a touch of the Reyes about him.

It's his first year here. He played a very good first half of the season and his form dipped towards the end of the season, which probably has a lot to do with the fact that he played too much.

He's still gona play an important part and I think that we are looking for a top CM is a good move so that we can rest Rice finaly.
