Yeah Rodrygo wasn't open to move even Real Madrid putting him in exit door. Barcola still no official word from him but i'll be surprised if he want to stay after PSG complete Diomande purchase.

Overall, based on his WC performance, I wouldn’t pay for this player. I think Martinelli can do about the same and more. And Martinelli is just as fast. Why would we replace like for like for 100m, especially when many agree Martinelli is not enough.

We need something different and better. Doue or Rogers is better for how we will play.

I'll admit I barely seen Barcola play regularly(PSG) but the speed with the ball he's shown in this world cup is something Nelli will never be able to do imo

You are right, there is no value. Has been saying for weeks people would be salivating at the prospect of signing Nelli from PSG if it was him there rather than Barcola. Same with France NT.

I've been reading a lot of recent responses and it seems like there's been a major shift in direction in the conversation that focuses only on speed/pace of Barcola and the LWr needed in general. Are you guys really saying Barcola isn't effective as a dribbler in tight spaces? That'd be a weird position to take unless if you really haven't watched him play.

Barcola is quite technical even in tight spaces. There's a reason he was considered to be the one to fill Mbappe's boots at PSG for goodness sake.

He’d add good wing play thats been missing up there from day one, its just preparing to be frustrated loads with that end product. Shouldn't overpay though.

Seeing Barcola often play, I find him superior to Gordon in many respects: in speed, dribbling quality and defensive effort, Gordon is better at finishing.

The problem with Barcola is that it will be ineffective against low blocks; it will make us a kind of Doué because the Rogers track is active.

Yes, Barcola looks better on the eye, but you need to consider the opposition he looks better against. What Nelli did vs Japan was arguably better than anything Barcola did in the tournament to date.

Nelli played in central mdfield as an 8 against Japan. Barcola has never played there before so that's such a strange comment.

Should be comparing Nelli performance against Japan with Kone, Berge, MacAllister or Mazambique to name a few QFs nation comparison.

Why would position matter for assessing technical prowess or being a 'headless chicken'? If anything, it's harder to excell as an 8.
