Wether it’s written in his contract or not, teams and managers don’t take numbers away from players. Sometimes a player will offer to give it away himself.

Our current squad is trash and most of the players we’re linked to are poverty. You taking away the 10 from Mesut go give to a bum like Coutinho or an old Chelsea leftover like Willian?

Not like we’re actually going to sign the successor or protege to a Mesut level guy.

They won't do it because Özil 10 is probably the most sold Arsenal shirt around the world.

Oh shut the f*ck up and wait and see what we sign before moaning like a big baby again.

F*cking Ornstien said we were signing Kurzawa last Jan and look what happened, we weren't even interested in him.

The only solid link we have so far is probably Partey which no one will complain about.

We’re signing Willian or Coutinho. Kia runs this club.

Fuming today at Tesco btw, no security anymore and huge queues inside with people using self-checkout with full trolleys, absolutely disgusting.

Idk I like more unique numbers, 77 looked good on Saka.

Nah I like that the No. 7 shirt has some pride in it again. I can't believe we gave it to that bum Mkhi.

Number association is a funny old thing. Seeing Saka with 7 instead of 77 somehow further solidifed the conception in my head of him being our LW for years to come - even though it makes no difference when you really think about it. Reminds me why intuition by itself isn't sufficient for wisdom.

Wilshere was more technically gifted than Saka, but not necessarily more talented. Saka is more physically gifted and plays with more intelligence than Wilshere. I think Wilshere was more of a natural that needed polishing to become world-class cause he had that sort of potential.

Should’ve picked #11 after Torreira leaves next transfer window. Looks better on a left winger

Wilshere should have become one of Europe's finest. That guy was unbelievably gifted.

How it panned out still hurts.

Saka has that composure and decision making most kids his age don't have. And we haven't seen half of his physical potential yet.

He was good on the technical side. The loan to Bolton destroyed his career.

He learned to get tough in Bolton, instead of getting more clever on the ball.

He starts to admire the Gerrard hardworking physical type of player, instead of the Xavi/Pirlo technically gifted/super intelligent/extremely talented/flair type of player.

Since then, he stops developing in his football iq/technical play. He brings more and more physical side into his game. And his technical side is getting worse and worse.

Ramsey has the exact same problem. Ramsey before the injury has the potential to develop into a intelligent type of player who controls the midfield. After the injury, he decided to abandoned all his technical side of the game.
