11 goals and 6 assists in 19 CL games is not bad. He'll have more in this competition because of space that will be left for him
Yeah nearly a goal contribution a game. By comparison, Foden has 18 goals and 14 assists in 63 CL matches and Palmer has 2 goals and 0 assists in 9 CL matches.

Scores from the left very curious if Madueke will return Saka might play on the left. with Eze and Ødegaard in midfield.

Hopefully not, you don't move our strongest player from his strongest position.

He moved left because Eze was having a mare defending that side, not because he had license to roam or anything of the sort.

As soon as he scored, I thought to myself... is it me or does he tend to score in most CL games we play?

17 G/A in 19 CL games is an unbelievable return. Especially when you consider some of those goals have come against PSG, Bayern and Real Madrid.

This young man is a world class talent. I just hope he stays injury free. Uncle Mikel has to get on the phone to Tuchel and tell him not to bother calling him up for England.

The way he fashioned the chance for his goal is something players like Madueke and Martinelli could never do when playing from the "wrong" side

Incisive pass, run into open space, open up body to control the return pass, bang

His football IQ is off the charts

He’s looking sharper game by game.

This may be a bold shout, but if he can get back to the first half of 24/25 level, with how strong the rest of the team is now, there’s no reason he can’t be a major contender for the balon dor.

Especially considering how much he excels in the CL.

We'd have to win the CL with Saka playing a key role for that to happen. It doesn't hurt that Saka is also clutch for England in big tournaments (Euro, World Cup).

Has to stay fit first. I think that without rest and rotation he will continue to get injuries at a higher rate than earlier in his career.

For me, forget the numbers and balon d’or etc, first priority is to keep our prized asset healthy. Madueke had better come back and be given serious minutes

Saka is competent and talented enough to play anywhere and look like a top player. He's one of those guys who annoys you in that he's good at anything he decides to pick up. Thankfully he's also very humble and sweet so you can't hate him for it. Lol

I got hammered for going on about his football iq three years ago. Got told it sounded like I was saying he was ‘one of the good ones’ or something. No, the guy is legitimately a football genius.

I could be paraphrasing.

Our 'senior' pros Saka and Ødegaard who have shown WC potential HAVE to step up this season if they're to have the careers their talent warrants. Their chance to win big is now and there's no excuses from these two not to deliver.

When Madueke is back I really hope we go for the kill against weak opposition with something like this:

Saka Gyok Madueke
Eze Zubi Ode
Cala Gabi Saliba Timber
Raya
That should be putting games to bed at halftime and then we can rotate and see the game out.

When has Saka not stepped up? He's literally carried this club for years. Weird post.

That’s too attacking and even weaker team have enough quality to punish you.
