Must say, it’s not making our medical team look the best, these Saka and Timber scenarios.

I know we gave Saka some rest but we played this guy a lot and the England camp has looked at him and thought he shouldn’t play.

Similar situation to Timber. Fit enough in our eyes to play a decent chunk of the CL final but not fit enough to go and play in the WC a couple weeks later.

It's not really the same though is it? Group stages vs title run-in aren't the same level of jeopardy.

Saka will be starting games once the KOs arrive.

Saka was out for more than 2 months last season and we still won the league. We will make signings to strength our offensive, the titles won't be decided in the first 2-3 months and the squad absoutely should be good enough in the first months to competete without Saka.

His achilles problems won't recover if we just manage the minutes in the first months and we will just manage the minutes and rest him in the CL for example. He will need the best recovery plan for his achilles next season and if thats means he needs a rest of 3 or 4 months at the start of the season, we have to do it.

Not me. I expect you to take 3-6 months off and do some serious rehab on your issues.
