Hmm.. I think he’s clearly shown great finishing and chance creation over the years. Arteta even named him best finisher at the club when asked.

I don’t think he even played badly last night, his finishing has just tarnished what should have been stat padding.

He didn't.

In general play he was a 9/10, you don't generate an xG of > 4 away in the CL and get to call one of your prime attackers 'crap' . He's one of the main reasons why we were so dominant.

Yes the misses were ****ing crap but if Saka keeps getting those kind of chances he's going to bury them more often than not.

Exactly, if he stays fit then I don’t see why he can’t accumulate 15+ in all comps.

I think for both Saka and Ødegaard (+ a couple others) rhythm and interruptions were their biggest enemy.

I don’t think he’s ever shown great finishing, his goal scoring numbers aren’t that impressive and he takes penalties.

You don’t really watch him thinking he’s gonna score and you don’t go into the season expecting more than 15 goals from him. He’s just not a finisher.

You’re entitled to think that and there’s enough to point to that when he was younger to be fair.

I think he’s ruthless when he hits top gear personally.

Time will tell.
I hope that they will stay fit (Saka, Havertz and Ødegaard) more-less the whole season.
The more they play, less we will be forced to play ugly and rely on set pieces.

Says Aesthetics Merchants, but really means Trilly
His ball striking is so inconsistent. His crossing is still elite, but his shooting is so wayward at times. When was the last time he scored from outside the box? I think it was at Brighton away, and even then it was a goalkeeping error. He needs to focus on his movement and separation for shots if he wants to score goals.

I don’t think I has ever been good at finishing or creating chances.

You’re being way too defensive here, no one has ever thought Saka was great at finishing.

Before he got injured he was looking like he could be on course to beat the PL assist record in a season, he had like 10 allready by november and he was creating a lot.

But since he came back from that long injury I feel he has become more selfish and he is playing worse because of it.

Double Dusted
I hope he's fully recovered mentally and physically but his shooting has been way off after that promising England hat trick. Despite all tge criticism he gets, he's still getting double tagged. I guess that's aura but I hope the stat padding starts on Saturday

Exactly, I do generally expect him to put them away and to fire his distance shots more on target. Do wonder whats going on there. Would like to see his minutes managed for a while because he doesnt seem 100% sharp

Exhibit A of why I don’t understand you guys.

Please explain why does the injury excuse applies to Ødegaard and not Saka when they were both missing domestically and featured in decent World Cups.
Reason why I’m actually a little worried about Saka is because he has an Achilles tendonopathy and he’s still ****ing playing. He should be rehabbing that and taking time off to better the situation. He’s not going to fully fix that playing every 4 days without a preseason. Look at the way Calafiori is looking right now. He had 3 months to work solely on his body. Saka hasn’t had that

I was already celebrating after Ødegaard played him in

His finishing was poor against Napoli but I love that he’s just a constant threat. Every time he got the ball he looked like he’d make something happen.

Fancy him to have a really strong goal scoring campaign.
I couldn’t believe it and thought it must have bobbled, terrible finish on his strong side. He doesn’t look like that in the training videos 😭

I don't mind feeding him into space running into box (like the highlights above). The issues I have are when he putting his hand up at half as a potential counter is on. Feel like a one legged zebra can catch him with that much ground to cover. Unless he playing connector I hate that ball to him. It's already difficult as is and a guy like Vini would have been the defacto out valve in that scenario it's so clear the way we are trying to break and how his addition would have sent up a level.

Why can't you just support the team? Always with this negativity and agendas if it was Ødegaard or Havertz you'd be sucking him off for xG creation.
So desperate for laugh emojis from the usual haters.

Nickolas Jackson hattrick against spuds level performance. Missed some great chances yet again, even the pen was crap but he is getting in the positions at least
