Saka winning Arsenal's player of the season >>> Mbappe winning world player of the year, imo.

Absolutely love the Kid but he will imho be looking to produce better figures next season with goals & assists if he is playing an the top end of the pitch.

I know stats dont tell the whole story but only 3 assists in the prem this season so hopefully can kick on in that dept & also chip in with a few more goals. I really think he tired considerably towards the end of a very tough season but that is understandable especially for a young player.

I see he's been named provisionally for England. This is very selfish but I want him to not go. He was so tired at the end of the season, I think a real break would be good for him. He hasn't played anything like he's capable of lately.

I think still he might not go and waistcoat will prefer Lingard over him

He can't control players not finishing the chances he creates for them. You can criticize his one v one finishing ability and some of his sloppy touches, but the rest of his game is pretty mature for his age. Even against West Brom, he easily could have had 3 assists in that game. Many other games he created chances and the players hit the bar or missed right in front of the GK. I said earlier in this thread that Saka has the talent to break Henry's assist record under the right system and with the right players around him.

Second year in a row he has been nominated for young player of the year...

...considering how inconsistent we have been as a team, in his 2 years in the side, that's a great achievement for him...fully deserved too!
