Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
The reason Saka is always double marked, makes it look too easy.

that almost 90% of our problems most games we really enter these situation like 3-4 times a game just to f**k it all up happen the same with Noni in 2nd half he put such amazing ball for someone just to tap in and no one bothered to attack the ball. our players simply just don't know how to move into box why 4 of our players too close to the goal and not one of them just stay back like Rice against Bournemouth? that really just require some thinking not coaching

This guy needs to fix up if we’re gonna win major honours this season.

He went from being ok and dropping too many 7s this season to dropping 6s recently. Just having no impact on the game, or nowhere near enough impact for his talent level + what he’s done previously.

I’m starting to be of the opinion that we should try him in different areas, but Arteta would never do it.

He doesn’t seem as comfortable as he always has playing that inverted winger role, cutting in isn’t looking as seamless. There were points where people were comparing him to Robben almost, players knew what he wanted to do but did it anyway type stuff.

Right now that’s not the case. He’s still a very secure player on the ball don’t get wrong, but it’s not “take the game by the scruff of the neck” and make a game changing action thing enough. Especially goals wise.

Yeah Saka should stop playing like we dont have anyone in the box. He needs to step up. He needs to build the chemistry between Gyok and him. The Gyok's goal yesterday, he can cross earlier by example

Why is it that as soon as he realises he's cooking his full back & has them on a yellow he stops taking them on?

Watched a few comps of him from a few seasons ago. He looks a different player. What happened to him?
Some people have forgotten how good he was. Was always great but then even had spurts of form where he was literally filthy. Like showing promise of being a consistent 15-20 PL goal a season player.

For me there must be a link to the surgery he had. And considering that I don’t know if he’s as agile / quick on his feet? Which doesn’t suit being inverted as much. Get this guy in the middle of the pitch or on the left side.

Cucurella has always done well against Saka, his tenacity and low centre of gravity has allowed him to bite at Sakas heels.

What's disappointing is that Saka should still skin him. There was a moment in the game where he was 1 Vs 1 against him on a counter and he just slowed down and allowed himself to get in a 2v1 situation.

If Maudeke was on he would've just burned the fullback.

I would like to see Maudeke start on the weekend.

I think Saka’s fine in that his issues aren’t physical but mental in terms of doing a bit too much hero ball and tactical in terms of getting the main man treatment from opposition defences.

His underlying stats, decision making, final ball and ball security are still elite as usual, his shooting is still average but he’s shooting a lot more than usual which might be making him look worse in that regard.

I just don’t think Saka rates the guy (Gyokeres) one bit
That might be true but part of leadership is enabling your guys, I think Saka thinks he has to lead by putting the team on his back and that’s not always the best way…

It’s crunch time now, it’s time for him to show us he’s that guy.

He can be that guy. Just don’t think listening to Arteta will make him that guy. He has to stop following the dead attacking tactics if he want to be that guy and I think he’s just too nice for that

Guys one of the most over played players and coming back from a torn hamstring which is one of the most repeatable injuries.

There’s an element he’s playing within himself to stay fit and given Arteta’s use of him this season it’s clear we’re conscious of his minutes and potential reinjury.

I’m not worried about him, he’s world class.

We should all remember Madrid.

I noticed last night that we were shooting from range as a team a LOT more than usual, that's not coincidence - I think Arteta wants that from his main technical players and I can see why
