Maybe it's speculative but I think Mikel might have brought on Saka so Nwaneri has time to gel with him on that left hand side.

Or maybe I'm just desperate to decrease the chance of seeing that infamous midfield trio we started with against Bournemouth.

Awww, my heart ♥️🥹

Saka speaks so eloquently. There was not a single 'ummm' or other filler word in there
Totally agree. He speaks great.....but there were 5 'ummm's in there 😂

Let's face it, we all do it 😂

Fantastic journo - player exchange tho. He deserves the kudos tbf

Thinks he's better than Havertz.

Saka is more respected outside of England than within.

Mental.

Difference in cultures, Italian media are more clued up and upfront due to how tumultuous their past has been with this stuff.

The British are very much in denial and are obsessed with marginalising his Euro ordeal to a few bad eggs, so they will never address how Saka has managed to kick on until years later.

It's impossible to not like Saka. Not just because of his talent. He's such a likeable person off and on the pitch. Always down to earth, never at any moment shows a bad attitude. A true role model.
Easily my favourite Arsenal player right now. Hope he finishes his career here and becomes a club legend.

Expected him to combine a lot more with White. For some reason White barely overlapped, and on the few occasions he did, Saka ignored him.

@Tir Na Nog remember that quote from Rafa Benitez that he was asked more tactical questions in his first interview in Italy than his whole career in England?

Very respectful way to ask such a question as well, could easily have gone off into bragging about the win etc. but kept it on the player and his mental recovery from adversity, classy from the journo.

Arsenal Quotes

When we won the title on May 3-rd by beating Everton 4-0 as Tony Adams scored that iconic goal, we showed everyone and especially Manchester United that we could beat them. Thirteen days later, when we beat Newcastle 2-0 in the FA Cup final in the legendary Wembley Stadium, it was wonderful... I felt immensely proud for the team, for the club: this was the fantastic response I was able to give to those who had put their confidence in me, as well as those who had put me through all those difficult weeks when I first arrived.
