Very relieved if true. I wasn't as positive on a new contract when it came out the last one was 4 years only and how hard the negotiation was, plus how much better he gets year over year.

Would be nice if it's a 5 year contract now, with a 4 one it feels like you're worrying about a new contract too soon.

Ideally for the club it is better if we could get them to sign a 5 year contract. Normally you already have to start making a decision when a player has 2 years left on their contract, so with a 4 year deal you already have to start negotiating after just 2 years. Saliba also signed a 4 year deal last time hence why it seems not long ago he signed and now we already have to worry about the next one.
even if saka, saliba & gabriel maghalaes only sign for 4 years on new contract , i will be so happy because all of them still have 2 more years left contract so total 4+2 = 6 years.
It doesn't work like that. When a player agrees to a new deal (unless it is just an extension) it is a fresh agreement and the old contract length doesn't get added to the new contract.

For example last time Saka signed a new deal it was in 2023 for a 4 year contract. He still had just over a year left on his contract. It didn't go 4+1= 5 years. That contract he signed in 2023 is ending in 2027 (4 years). If he agreed to continue that 1 year on old contract and immediately start the new 4 year deal he would have lost out on extra money for a year. New contract usually means improved wages, bonuses etc.

oh yeah my bad, so better give contract extension then ?? because we will get 4+2 which can keep saka more longer

but if not extension (new contract) hopefully saka sign 5+1 on new contract so he can stay more longer same thing with saliba and big gabi

Partly to blame for PSGs goal.
Did not track back, Rice was tracking Dembele had to jump onto Kvara. Which left Dembele free.
Still a great goal by PSG though.

Rice was more to blame than Saka. He’s our main threat and can’t be tasked with playing wingback in defense. Rice may have had to give support but no way he had to jump out like that. You could see from the scenes afterwards how he disappointed he was with himself as well.

I felt Saka had a poor game. Sure, he was double marked, and sometimes it felt like there was almost four PSG players closer to him than any Arsenal player.

But that said, he played it very safe and wasn’t incisive at all. He had opportunities to have a go at his guy when there was little to no support, but just pulled up and played the ball back to Øde or Timber. Not at all the kind of display your star player should have in a UCL semi-final. Close to ghosting imho.

Compare that with Martinelli who at least tried and even had a go at Hakimi several time, who’s one of the absolute best fullbacks in the world.

Yep. Underrated by rival fans, overrated by Arsenal fans. Was seeing best winger in football talk the other week.

The lack of service to him was really noticeable. 4 touches in the first 20 minutes and when Ødegaard has such a poor game plus the absence of TP5 , it adds up.

There was a few times in the 2nd half where he got the ball in the ball in space and was 1v1 with their fullback. Not much came out of it. The same situations with any of their attackers would've given me a heart attack. Doue and demebele are just made for those situations and seem to just effortlessly glide past players. Saka is no doubt great but just doesnt have the same guile and be a bit predictable in his movements and plays. I'm sure this tie will highlight to arteta just what were missing in attack. Saka, by far our best player would have a hard time getting into their starting 11 and we cant expect to compete with some of these teams if thats the case. Our fanbase seems to place him in the salah, yamal, dembele category but he just isnt

Doesn’t absolve him though. He had opportunities to drive and didn’t. If service is bad what he does do once he gets the ball becomes all the more important.

This was the kind of game he needed to lead our attack and show the way, instead he was withdrawn and timid. Well, maybe strong words but I can’t really find the ones I’m looking for.

He didn’t look scared but it was something. Maybe the gravity of the moment weighed on him…

You realize Saka is literally playing at like 60 percent lol. Dude literally came back from a pretty bad injury that he needed to get surgery for that kept him out for almost 4 months. Saka literally destroyed this same team not too long ago and now he is not on the level of Dembele and Doue 😂. Some of you on here are clowns. PSG are such a class apart and yet the game only ended 1-0. With Partey, Havertz and Big Gabi healthy, Arsenal would definitely win the UCL this season. I didn't even include Jesus who usually performs well in the UCL. You guys just love to praise foreign players and over hype them when you don't even watch them play week in and week out. The only winger/wide forward better than Saka is Salah.

So im a clown for having a opinion? Lol. You seem to have an opinion as well so what does that make you? My opinion is not even outrageous I just know ball.

I love saka but stating that he is only at 60% is pretty convinient. He was back to the saka we know against madrid and has had a week's rest.

I dont know if doue will fulfil his potential but i know talent when i see it. Definately more naturally talented than saka. Both him and dembele are. They have beautiful balance on both feet and can go either way, alot of flair and just that little bit more accelleration in the first few steps. Doue came on as a sub at anfield and displayed more skill there than saka has in however many years he has played there.

Saka has just always had a really mature game and credit to him for establishing himself as the player he is now. I really hope he can turn it around for us next week. If not, ah well.

Also, you're the clown!

Saka was amazing, he constantly has 3-4 guys marking him because we barely have any threat on the left side or through the center.

Even then he was still beating guys for fun and getting shots off

Give him his equal on the left and he’ll cook even more

Don’t think so. Kvara had to be double marked.
Also its not like Saka does not track back and defend. He does it all the time. That is how we are set up defensively.
Rice was disappointed so was Saka/Timber

Saka is held back by the other forwards so he ends up carrying our front line alone. Put him in PSG or Barca front 3 and he’d be considered one of the best in the world.

Yeah I don't understand why he was taking everything so slowly and lack pace and intensity. Was very obvious in Bernabeu too compared to the first leg where he was cooking everyone with his pace.

Thought he was carrying a knock or something
