Despite playing poorly and more reserved he's our biggest goal threat and chance creator this season in all competitions.

He's mastered the art of getting a G/A despite being woeful in games

He seems to get the ball a lot more in inside positions for England. Against France that's where he found so much joy in that inside forward position

Saka is clear.

Foden and Saka should be playing as the right 8/RW combination like Ødegaard/Saka for us. Can you imagine the interchangeability? They can easily play each other's positions and come inside/outside at will.

Southgate has such a stacked line up it's almost criminal if he doesn't win a trophy with it.

Foden Saka partnership incoming when City will be dropped 5 divisions next year.

Is there still a posters on this forum who dont rate him?

Well since Saka has been a major player for both club and Country, he has yet to win a major trophy for either.

Also Saka needs to turn up in the business end of the season, went missing in 2021 (Europa run), top 4 bottling run in 2022 and title winning run in 2023.

So those are two questions regarding him, can he rise to the occasion?

Really looks like something is going on physically but he’s still starting for club and country so hopefully just a drop in form.

Yeah one of the reasons I’ve been outspoken about getting another RW is not only can we rest Saka but when his form drops we can put someone else in, he needs some comp.

We should use Nelson on the right from time to time. I know he’d have to play more as a traditional winger but is that such a bad thing? Uncle Mikel likes his wide players high and wide anyway.

He’s a waste of a body atm. Not sure what the thinking was offering him a new deal.

Yeah I really don’t get it. Mikel just doesn’t have time for people he doesn’t rate.

Well there were the reports of them managing an Achilles issue which would certainly rob you of the ability to push off with full force or comfort. It's a testament to what a brilliant player he is that he's still able to impact games at clearly below his best physically. It's just a shame that this also means he wont' be afforded the requisite rest to rectify this unless he's forced out through injury.

Think you need to ease up on the hyperbole mate.

"Woeful" 😂

Did I not stand correct? Saka was woeful tonight and at Stamford Bridge for example but has provided us key final balls to win us points.

That is the difference between him and our other attackers apart from Trossard, they can be woeful throughout the game but at any moment they can provide that decisive match winning moment.

That's why Saka does not get subbed off whereas Nelli does not. Saka has a wicked final ball and we should play to that with Havertz as Saka can cross well against the backpost (think of Benfica in the Europa league or Trossard goal vs Chelsea).
