It's kind of the same way Liverpool depend on Salah, but Salah didn't really reach this level till like 24 or 25. Saka has been expected to carry the team since he was 18.

but 1-0 to 2 or 2-0 to 3 are still valuable goals (in seeing out a game) and not padding. So I wouldn't mind Saka or Kai getting more of those goals as well

The only seasons that come close are Özil 15/16 and Alexis 16/17.

I remember having the discussions last season on whether Saka was/wasn't world class and @Trilly and I were saying Bukayo either had to win something or he had to post up stupid numbers so that it was obvious to everyone.
I've noticed that the "is he/isn't he" chatter has basically died now and that pretty much everyone universally recognizes Saka as WC.
