• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

We could have stuck prime Squilacci out there on the RW and it wouldn’t have made a difference tonight.

We didn’t get Saka the ball in the right areas and he had a poor game. Should have just rested him but at least he got taken off at 70’.
Eh, he was also inches away from winning the game. He's the guy we have who can score a goal out of nothing so you have him out there for a while at least. He did struggle though, he's going to feel Ode's absence more than anyone.

One of the things that might help him in Ode's absence is going route 1 to Havertz and letting Saka get a running start for the layoff. It takes away their ability to double him while he's flat footed and stationary and gets him in a position to attack defenders on the back foot.

I love Saka. Let's stop when he has a poor or average match acting like it's down to fitness. I've seen Mbappe drop plenty of stinkers too.

I was optimistic of a goal before both of Gabriel’s last two and some of the credit for that is the quality of corner I’ve come to expect from this man.

Feel we will see a big second half of the season from Saka (Ødegaard too when he's back) as Arteta finally has the options in the squad he trusts to rest him properly at times now.

That could be big for us.

A point at the Etihad after playing 12 v 10 for 55 minutes and we almost won until literally the last seconds

Entire City team rattled

Saka rested

Rodri ACL

Califiori debut worldie

That game couldn't have gone better for us

Not really, it would have been the perfect game if Raya saved that last one too. It would be so depressing for them to miss in that last minute and lose 3 pts. Now they are still celebrating the draw, hurts to see.

4 time consecutive champions being rattled enough that they're celebrating a draw against us doesn't hurt at all. It tells us a lot about our team's level and their team's character (or lack thereof) and mental fragility. If I were an Arsenal player, I would be even more confident of winning the league than if we'd won and they'd moaned.

Meh! I'm over it

Saka and Haaland the only two players to have a goal or assist in every PL game thus far. Also want to highlight that Saka's deliveries to Gabriel were amazing, should have got x2 assists. It's hard to believe Southgate didn't have Saka taking corner kicks at the Euro's.
