• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

Dunno about hate but it took far too long for the forum in general to recognise Saka as a world class player.

I’d say it’s fair given the way people jump at brandishing world class tags to many of our players on here.

I know winning isn’t the ultimate factor but it definitely plays a part for me particularly when you can carry a team during pressurised moments. Consistency is key too.

Saka has been carrying this team for years tho, he just keeps getting people coming up with weird caveats like "he's not WC until he does it in the CL or for England" etc. but whenever he plays in these tournaments at the top level he just proves how good he is.

That’s true but I’d say it’s more rival fans writing him off than anyone on A-M tbf. If it was off the back of the 22/23 then it was a small sample size to judge him off hence why people had some reservations to label him WC.

Same goes for Ødegaard and Martinelli who a few were skeptical of jumping on the bandwagon to label them as WC.

Saka saying what we've all been thinking - still returning to full fitness and not yet at his sharpest.

I also think there's an element of him not quite yet trusting his body 100%. Once that confidence and sharpness comes back, look out.

He really turned it on in the second half. This is what I mean when I speak about the ways you can be an effective Captain. This is one, leading by example and driving the team on.
totally agree our second half way better than first half

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal have got as much chance of being handed the title by Sp*rs as I have of being given the Crown Jewels. They are the last people we want winning the Championship. Now we mean to round off our season by beating Arsenal.

Alan Mullery (Sp*rs captain in 1971)

There is no way we were going to be beaten
