He's been a bit up and down. Was cooking against Atletico and Brighton. Not his best today and against Palace. But in fairness he wasn't 100% after an illness against Palace. I have faith he will get going more consistently.

Horrid today, but manager has to take him off earlier to prevent injuries too if things aren't working out.

No point in having 0 impact in a match and doing a 90, we have subs.

The guy doesn't look to be an iron man after all those hamstring injuries. The sooner Noni comes back the better. Saka needs rotation and competition to get the best out of him. But the days of Arteta abusing and over-using him are over, that leads to injury layoffs and semi-regular **** performances. The best Saka is fresh Saka, he's even a hack of impact sub, better than Trossard and Nelli when brought off the bench.

He's allowed a bad game and usually has a worldly after such a performance. I'm not worried as his quality is proven. As long as he stays fit, I'm happy and hopeful.

In 17 EPL games since returning from his hamstring tear he has 3G 0A. For a player who was averaging about 0.7 G/A per game from 2022-2024, this is starting to get concerning. And the eye test in games like yesterday matches up with the statistical evidence.

He'll be fine. He had two hamstring injuries one on each leg, even had surgery that took him out for months and imo was definitely rushed back for the UCL. Then recently had an illness, he looked like he was getting back into form, hopefully Madueke comes back soon to provide some competition and give him rest time so he doesn't get overworked.

great point from this account afc_monty which is same like you @Geofranco said in your previous comment

but for me, still does not change the fact saka need step up this season to help us win major trophy especially he will get huge contract to become number 1 top earner for arsenal

also i dont like arteta still keep him on the pitch when he play bad against burnley which is affected our performance in attack

The better framing would be that even when having an off game he's still a threat and getting chances, that's when you know you're the very elite. But more importantly, we're winning comfortably without Saka having to carry us which couldn't be said a few years back.

Or me, panicking about Saka’s performance is silly. The worry is about injuries developing in to persistent problems, that’s what’s disrupted his rhythm form wise and will eat away at his career if we aren’t careful. Without that, the assist record was on for him last year. My main criteria for saka is him getting out of games injury free.

Help him take care of his body and the rhythm and performance will come.

Guy was amazing vs. Atletico and had their LB on toast and now we're complaining about his recent performances because he was bad vs. Burnley.

Could have easily got two goals in his bad game.
Isn’t that why it’s a bad game?

I doubt anyone would be saying he had a bad game even though he scored two goals. In fact I’m pretty sure they’d be boo’d out of the thread

Two sorts of bad game really. I think it’s usually much more worrying if a player is isolated and invisible for the whole game. Suggests they didn’t know how to impact it or were shying away from the ball or they didn’t know where to be.

if we keep him fit, he’ll get back to cooking every week

To be fair to Saka, we don't score from open play.
maybe that's what he is suppose to bring to team and isnt bringing? Creativity, dribbling, crosses and Goals?. Games against Palace & Burnley were worrying, bro got outpaced twice by their center back Estève, come on. But love Saka, hope he come's back in great form, we will need him

Its interesting the huge new contract was an easy decision a year ago but the decision is becoming far more risky given his last 12 months.

They will definitely give it to him and I think the odds are still slightly in Arsenal's favour of it being the right decision, but the margins are increasingly tightening.

This is exactly one of the main reasons why its an issue, why is it silly to consider?

I knew he hasn't been scoring but the lack of assists surprised me more.
